I got an info that Flight will likely be released in first half or even quarter of 2012.2011 is highly unlikely. And before you ask where: Microsoft internal.

" Microsoft internal"Would that be the front gate security officer or the person that takes out the trash? :(

Judging by the release dates of previous versions I doubt that will happen:FS 1 Late 1982FS 2 ? 1984FS 3 Mid 1983FS 4 Late 1989FS 5 Late 1993FS 5.1 June 1995FS 6 (FS95) Mid 1996FS 6.1 (FS98) Mid 1997FS 7 (FS2000) Late 1999FS 8 (FS2002) Oct 2001FS 9 (FS2004) July 2003FS 10 (FSX) October 2006

Ah, I knew I will have this shooting back at me... I gave it a real good thought if I should post it.No, it's not a trashman, it's not a cleaning lady and it's not a security officer. It's someone more internal, it's NOT a developer. And I never said it's coming out then. Just what that person told me - he IS a Microsoft employee in direct connection to Microsoft products.I will not reveal who, where and what. This was intended as INFORMATION, nothing less, nothing more.
:( be careful....:(
Yea... :(

I see, it is the person who answers the phone at the front desk then. :(

Translation: October 2012, a good 3 months enjoyment before collision with planet Nibiru and the End of the World on December 21, 2012.On the plus side, by the time Flight is released we will be able to sim courtesy of a Socket 2012 Ivy Bridge CPU (4 RAM channels) running at 6.5 GHz and a PCIe 3.0 video card (AMD 8990? nVidia 780 GTX?).Cheers,- jahman.

You had good intentions Word Not Allowed no doubt there, these things will always come back to bite you in the rear end. I'm hoping we'll see a presentation of sorts at the AVSIM FANCON... anyone else going?

As far as im concerned, they can take all the time they want. Make sure its polished and shining before its released! The last thing I want on my hard drive is a flying disaster like IL2 CoD was. I would rather developers only published release dates of "When its done" like iD always did. I want Flight WHEN ITS DONE. Till then, im happy as a clam in FSX punching holes in clouds or flying low and slow over Frieday Harbor.

Is FSX actually FS2006?
It was the 10th version, published in 2006. So technically correct
