Still a sight too see but somewhat butt-ugly

Have to say, while the fuselage may look like a pregnant Hippo, those wings are the most beautiful on any aircraft I've ever seen... bar the woodpigeon of course...biggrin.gif

Got it in one there....tongue.gifBut in a side note, I fly Airbus and they aren't actually as bad as some people believe, they're a pleasure to fly and the cockpit is very roomy and airy.

Second I saw butt-ugly I though Airbus hehehe!
No-one, dares say the 747 is ugly around here.I'd have to do a low fly bye on my woodpigeon.

You guys have to come to Frankfurt (EDDF) You could see around 3-5 A380 each day ;)Personally as a passenger, i prefer Airbus instead of Boeing but only because it seems that the engines are not as loud as at Boeing aircraft. But that is only my impression and as a german guy, i'm used to fly both Boeing (767 Condor 737,738 air berlin/tuifly, 747 LH) and the whole A320 family by Airbus. 4months ago i had the pleasure to get a flight in an A380 by Lufthansa(which is so god darn ugly- yes i'm european but i say this) and that was great. Basically the main difference is that during the flight you almost can't hear any noice. I don't want to compare this to the older 744 because Boeing would loose this contest. So for Long-Hauls, i prefer Airbus.BUT (theres always a but :( )due to the fact i want to become a pilot (hopefully for Lufthansa but we'll see...) i like Boeing jets more, simply because i think it is more flying (have been in a 747 cockpit and an Airbus cockpit. i prefer Boeing style) and they look better :) BTW Do you know that Lufthansa ordered some 777F a few weeks ago?? Flying those would be my dream :D

Alexander Marx

Trust me, after a long day of flying with 6 sectors in the winter time, you'll really appreciate the Airbus cockpit... and there's just as much flying in the airbus, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise...

Its nowhere near as ugly as the Dreamlifter. I remember I was sitting in LAX waiting for a connection and the pulled a Qantas one up near a gate I was sitting at. I noticed it because it blocked all light from ther terminal.

Actually there is another Airbus that looks more like that! The Mighty Beluga!60801-004-17446DA3.jpgAlso the A380 was originally bigger in her early design days - but was reduced in size - I think she'll look a lot better if they ever make a stretch version...however that won't be happening for some time.

Put it this way...on the 2100 LHR-DME all nighter slog, the airbus flight deck is lovely!! Love the legroom we have! And most importantly, the table! Perfection! Easy work :)

Here are some pics that I took with my iPhone when I flew into RFD for the airfest last year. Personally, I kind of like the DreamLifter. Look at the engine and that mounting pylon! They're HUGE! Sorry to those who saw my post requesting BHM scenery. I meant for that to go into a different thread.

I do this all the time but I am not sure why the Airbus cockpit would be better.JackColwill
