May 31, 201115 yr I'd have to agree with you. I think they should've spent a little more time making her a bit smaller and more attractive... Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
May 31, 201115 yr Both taken at cyyz? If so i didnt know Airfrance started using the A380 to Toronto. Is he going to be a replacing the usual 747?Duco Duco
May 31, 201115 yr Author If it aint airbus.....It just aint airbus. If it aint Airbus........you are more likely to actually push off a gate.Honestly though, I have no real time on an Airbus, like 99.9999% of us here, so I have no valid opinion. Until then our opinions are completely biased. Dont get me wrong though, if our company ever does get any I would jump on it for sure just to say I flew one.JackColwillBoth taken at cyyz? May 31, 201115 yr My #1 fav plane is the 744 but seriously, the a380 is not ugly! Something to be proud of Joe Barton
May 31, 201115 yr I would have to disagree. I think the A380 is a sexy beast. I like the 'in you face' factor and the boldness of the aircraft. The way the wings go up and the flop at the end is beautiful. In flight they look a lot better. The wings seem to lose their flex and the whole aircraft glides gracefully down and seems to kiss the runway no matter how bad the conditions are. It something to be proud of. The operating costs of the A380 are so low when looking at it's size that it's cheaper to have A380 flying a route rather than the 744 and possibly the 748i. The engines are a lot quieter than other commercial aircraft and the efficiency is a masterful selling point.Even if you don't like the look there is no denying that it's a wonderful piece of engineering. Not as wonderful as Concorde though, which for the record, I feel was a step back.
May 31, 201115 yr I've never been on an Airbus airplane... If I fly delta, it's always the Boeing x.I've flown on two and both were DL. Nothing special though I have nothing to compare them to. But a little off track, do the autobrakes on the 737NG really slam on the brakes or was that just me? Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
May 31, 201115 yr I've never been on an Airbus airplane... If I fly delta, it's always the Boeing x.I fly delta all the time and been on an Airbus(319/320) quite a few times and it's nothing special. Nothing like how JB or VX has their interior set-up. May 31, 201115 yr First time I seen two of hese in the same dayJackColwillJack,You're an airline pilot no? These look like cockpit pics. Do you mind mentioning what AC you fly? Maybe you've said before and I've not caught it. Right now I'm stuck with a piper and a Jabi. One day maybe I'll be able to fly something that gets me off of the GA ramp. :( Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
