Nothing yet. I was really looking forward to hearing SOMETHING. My only guess is that any demo's was done behind closed doors. Maybe its just so early in development that simply dont have enough to show the public yet?

Understandable they dont mention Flight a E3, the gamers that read news from E3 at major gaming sites like IGN still remember FSX as one of the worst games ever released. No one was able to run the game, not even them with alienware computers or other higend pc monsters. The forums at IGN was on fire with angry gamers getting no more than 5-10 fps, lets hope MS learnt a lesson and dont release such crap anymore.

"gamers" don't care about flight simulators unless they can shoot things.

*BUZZER* WRONG. :PI'm a girl gamer, and I love to fly! But I don't fly all the time, I play Portal 2, GTAIV EFLC, CNC3 Tib Wars & Kanes Wrath and many many more. So your statement is invalid. Plus I know of plenty people online (mainly boys) that LOVE to fly planes, or helicopters. They just don't fly on FSX because of the bad performance and overall looks of the game. Like it or not, a major part in whether or not a gamer (or just a casual gamer) would buy Flight would be the graphics. Its become a standard comparison and a main attraction in games now, and also an even more important factor in deciding whether they will buy or not is performance. If you can have an amazing looking game but with abysmal performance, why bother? If you can lower the 'sliders' enough to get good performance while still having nice quality, that is a great attraction. So my point being, is that well, shooting isn't a big thing for people who just want to fly, they may want a more simplified difficulty level so they can enjoy the experiences without spending hours reading manuals, that is what the different difficulty levels are for (don't start twisting words here, FSX had different difficulty levels too). I think it will implemented and improved upon even more in Flight to attract a wider audience, not dumbing down the 'harder' difficulty levels though. MS aren't dumb, they know that us FS enthusiasts are very passionate (and a little arrogant sometimes) about Flight Simulation, and there is little doubt they will try very hard to please us all . rolleyes.gif So thats my say before more wild speculation occurs, and the people who will say Flight will not cater to us, mustn't be able to read (FAQ page @ MS Flight website, read it). Rant over. hehe rolleyes.gifJamie ♥

*btw, when using the term 'game' it is an umbrella term, it also includes simulation and racing games, and everything in-between. Do not twist my words.

"A video game is an electronic form of play that involves interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device" - the definition of the word "videogame", game is the common shorthand for videogame. Just being clear.

What's wrong with the "looks" of FSX? Visually, it's the best sim to date. Flight will raise the bar even further, but if FSX graphics weren't good enough for some people, then I doubt Flight will be either.

Gotta love twister, what a game. Oh back to the topic, and twisting... actually. See, I never really stated that, and Flights graphics look much better than FSX! Just people expect more from almost all games, If games like Crysis 2 can achieve good graphics, why cant Flight? That is a thought that passes through many gamers I imagine, or at least people in general. But that thought is also flawed, Flight Sims are much much different in terms of graphics, mainly because its a simulation of the real world. It takes quite a bit of power to simulate the whole world and get amazing graphics. The major downside? Space. This method would be power hungry, require HUGE amounts of space on your hard drive, its just not practical and definitely not logical. Its just peoples views that are distorted, sorta. People tend to compare games a lot, mainly on graphics as I said before, but people forget that you cant really compare say FSX to something like Battlefield 3, It just doesn't work. Now resume with the twisting again. :)Also, look at your specs:CPU: I7 2600K @ 4.5 GHz | MB: Asus P8P67 Pro .B3 | RAM: 8 Gigs Corsair D3 1600GPU: EVGA GTX 560 TI SC | PSU: TR2 RX 750W | Case: Coolermaster Storm ScoutCPU Cooler: Hyper N520 | HD: 1 TB WD Caviar Black 6gb/sec 7200 RPMOS: Windows 7 64 | Monitor: 23" Acer 1080p | FSX SP2Realistically I cant achieve that level of detail in FSX, and also others are just like me, I'm only 15 you know, I haven't got my PPL yet or even earning any money at all. I don't have a job. So how can I (and many others like me who simply cant afford) spend over ~£1000 on a new PC, when I cant even contemplate that amount of money? Anyway, If I had ~£1000 I wouldn't buy a new PC, Id get a complete new wardrobe full of new clothes, and Id probably get a lot of MAC's make-up and a few pair of nice shoes. Though TBH 1K cant buy all that XD rolleyes.gifJamie ♥

Ah, so you're saying, that most people can't achieve awesome visuals in FSX and that's why they tend to think the graphics aren't so great. I wasn't twisting your words either. Anyway, about the clothes and make-up, I'm betting that if you love flying as I do, in a few years your priorities will change from a high end wardrobe, to flight lessons, or maybe a new PC so you can suspend disbelief in the sim. At least that's what happened with me.

The only definitive statement in the FAQ page is From new game play elements and enhanced scenery and terrain to new aircraft and integrated content marketplace, TWe've already seen new scenery and aircraft in the videos

I think she's saying that people who aren't into flight sims are expecting the graphics quality of a FPS. Even at max detail settings and the fastest processor, FSX can't compare to a modern FPS, especially closer to the ground. Those of us that know what goes into a flight sim understand that it's a different animal and it can't have that kind of detail (yet), but more casual gamers may not understand that.

I would make that "most" gamers. I'm also a gamer with a penchant for FPS.FS has always been a niche program (albeit large} and not considerd a true "game"However, I suspect that once Flight is released, MS wiil showcase it at a future E3 hyping its gaming elements.

It was a generalized statement, individual exceptions are inevitable. The vast majority of "gamers" do not care a whit about flight sim, and that's a fact.
