my q6600 was almost dying because of that pmdg's jetstream 4100 yesterday.:( what will i do with 737ngx?!

My Q6600 can get about 15-30 FPS with her, what's your other hardware and settings?

4 gb ram, 1gb geforce 9800gt and with 1680x1050 res. with dx10 preview and all settings are set to ultra high.

No wonder, dx10 preview should be off and I'd turn a few settings down you will get MUCH better FPS

I have a Q6600 as well. I find that the J41 is extremely flyable and I can get between 30-50 fps in non-intensive areas such as at cruise or at a rural airport. To achieve this, I use normal resolution displays and turn the right EHSI and EADI to 0% which turns the copilot displays off. Sure it's unrealistic, but I never fly in the copilot seat and it saves me quite a bit of FPS. Turning down the external and virtual cockpit model options can also increase frames. This can all be done via the PMDG Jetstream J41 Configuration Manager.

I can't make any comparisons about 2D panels because I fly only in the VC, but I can tell you that you have to sign your post with your full name due to the forum rules.Best is to put it in your signature like I and many others did, so that you don't have to write it every time.But yes, the panels look very good.

Why do VC people hate people that use 2D panels. We are aware of VC panels, we just like the easy access to subpanels and the perspective in 2D. Its like smokers and ex-smokers. No one hates smokers more than ex-smokers.

That is not quite true. Ex-smokers do not hate smokers. We pity them perhaps, but not hate. However, from my own experience, smokers seem to dislike or dispise ex-smokers more then any other group of people. And yet they seem to keep forgoting that we used to smoke too. There is nothing a smoker can say to an ex-smoker that the ex-smoker hasn't said and thought a thousand times before and perhaps that is the source of the dislike. For quarter of a century people tried to tell me why smoking was bad and why I shouldn't do it and for quarter of a century I convinced myself they were wrong. They ranged from mildly irritating to intensly annoying, but the only people I couldn't really argue with were the ex-smokers. You say you are aware of VC panels, but just how many years do you think we VC users spent using 2D panels? And still we use 2D panels when there is no better option. Attempting to patronise me by saying there is some aspect of 2D that I am not familiar with or am not giving enough credit to is exactly the same as a smoker trying to convince me that it is not really as bad as they say.

1. I do not hate anyone in regards to their cockpit preference. Maybe this is a social issue more so than a "VC people" issue.2. I've never hated on an ex-smoker or had one hate me, I've been smoking longer than 20 years, know it's bad and do not hate. I've also been an ex-smoker several times!I hope you and anyone who uses the 2D panels get as much enjoyment from the NGX as a VC user will. They both look absoEffinLutely amazing.
