June 8, 201114 yr Thanks Guys - I love to use 2D panels for stuff that using a VC is too hard to do in a sim!!
June 8, 201114 yr 2D overhead and FMC are my most used panels, everything else is easily accessible from the VC. Don't have the budget or the framerate for TrackIR, but might try and save for it though as the collimation on the HUD looks too good to miss. June 8, 201114 yr I don't see the problem with 2D. If you are a 3D user and have the horsepower to do so, then why worry about 2D? There's no draw-down on FPS from it. They are just bitmaps! It's a brave man who admits to not pulling up a 2D FMC from time to time... I do :( Great work guys. June 8, 201114 yr I meant a simulator (forgiven word), I din't know this was so amazingly prohibited. Don't worry, I will not repeat this.PS: Alan, you talk like if I were writing this way all the time. Just check my posts and you will see. I repeat I din't know this was so bad for you. That kind of language doesn't bother me personally, if a friend said something like that to me in conversation, I'd probably just laugh, but there are young people into flight sims too, and they are on these forums, so you just have to remember to watch your language.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

June 8, 201114 yr Commercial Member There are some odd perspectives on the overhead panel, you are looking at the underside of some knobs while the ones next to them are viewed as if from above. Was this deliberate?Looks deliberate to me. I like/don't mind it. It is accurate for the panel viewpoint assuming you are fairly close to it...Best regards,Robin.

Nothing odd about it at all... Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
June 9, 201114 yr This is awesome. Only would I use this 2D if I knew it was a busy departure or approach. most prominently when flying online
June 9, 201114 yr Thanks for those shots. After having been away from Fs for a few months and actually uninstalled FSX, this actually revives interest in this hobby for me. When the NGX is released I will more than likely buy it and reinstall the sim. In the meantime going back to different sim www.iracing.com I totally recommend it
June 9, 201114 yr Didnt know that that there s are till people flying with 2d panel. Can we disable them?Well some of us aren't lucky enough to have a high end computer so we take a significant performance hit when using a VC. I will, of course, give the VC a try but I bet with my Q9650 and Geforce 9600GT with 512MB I'll have to revert to the 2D panels.:Nerd:Iain Smith
