July 1, 201114 yr Hi I am on the verge of buying Radar Contact 4, do not want vatsim or anything where you have to speak online. I just had a couple of questions I was hoping someone could answer before I purchase...1 Can you fly SIDS / STARS in Europe for Airports such as Gatwick, Bristol, Geneva, Nice, etc2 Does it add a lot of time to a flight to set up radar Contact for each flight?3 Can you toggle the user interface box to be visible / non visible with the software freshly installed or do you have to mod it? (Read somewhere you have to mod it)4 I intend to use the keyboard to control Radar Contact, is this ok? 5 I read somehere about needing to have a subscription to FSUIPC, is that the case and if so why? Thanks Keithy Keithy George

July 1, 201114 yr With regard to SIDS & STARS, there is no Navigraph support built in to RC4. It will let you fly them though. You can always download the manual and have a read before you buy.G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
July 1, 201114 yr Author Mmm thanks everyone so far.Gazzareth....I started to read the manul and have found out I need to have fligh plan builder to export flight plans in to FSX. Meaning another purchase.Up to now I have just used this for flight planning http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ and then inputted the waypoints in to the FMC.So as I undertand it with RCv4I will not be able to do that anymore, I have to plan flights using one of these listed below in order for RCv4 to work. Is that right? As far as I can tell these programes cost around £30, so now the cost to use RCv4 for me has gone from £30 to £60. Do I understand that right?o FS Navigatoro NAV 3o FS2000/FS2002/FS2004/FSXo FlightSim Planner / FlightSim Commandero Super Flight Plannero Flight Managero IFRPlan 2000o FSBuildo Jeppesen FliteStar Keithy George

I believe that a number of the online planners are capable of producing them.DJ

July 1, 201114 yr Take a look at PlanG. It will do everything you want and...it's free! Look here: http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/forumI've been using it for a couple years now. Find the SID or STAR you want to use at AirNav, then just create a flight plan using those WPT's. Save it into FSX. When you open RC4, load the FP and go. Joe Brown
