1. It's almost the same job description that they have posted for all the other Flight jobs.2. MS is nowhere near testing Flight, even internally.3. That November 2011 release date broadcasted by Mr. You Tube on his show is totally off the mark, the same as that game site wanting to take pre-orders for Flight with a Fall 2011 release date.

What November 2011 release date broadcast? The only one I've heard said on youtube is February 2012, which sounds realistic IMO.

:) QA continually tests...how do you think they make their milestones?Look at the screen shots...this game is obviously getting tested now.Mr. YouTube said February 2012...no? (November is no-man's land, 2011 basically ends in September)FYI all February games are September games with 4 month extensions :Big Grin:So as far as rumors go…this one has a ring of authenticity. But I’m not exactly convinced. If there’s no word by Oshkosh…then I'll tend to agree.Otherwise rumors and (our) expectations aside, I’d still say MS wants this ready for Christmas 2011.BTW, FSX was the first time the SDK was published simultaneously...it's not a given that a Flight SDK is ready at RTM.We hope it is, but that may depend on the rest of the schedule.

'Mr. You-tube' said February 2012 NOT November....... February sound perfectly realistic IMO.

Darn!If I wasn't missing the experience shipping high-quality software on-time, the exceptional testing skills and firm understanding of testing methodologies, the demonstrable proficiency with C# or C++ with solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals, the proven success in utilizing test automation frameworks, the hands-on knowledge of the overall product development lifecycle, and the excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities, I'd apply right now! :( Flight simming all day long, pointing-out others' coding errors and getting paid ofr it = Coolest job on Earth!Cheers,- jahman.

This was the most interesting and telling part to me. Most web based development these days, and the application language being touted for Windows 8 is JavaScript/HTML 5/CSS; they are downplaying native coding in languages like C# or C++ :http://www.winsupers...loathing-136441This leads further credance to the idea they are building on the existing FSX engine rather than developing a new web-based simulator (which is what everyone thought when they fired ACEs and rolled it into the Games for Windows suite); probably intergrating it with the new AppX platform and perhaps introducing ribbon bars to replace the menu bar that has been there for years.-James
