July 31, 201114 yr Aaah.. I don't think I can Watch this movie.. I want to discover her for myself. Just a few days to go! Same, this video and the last I haven't watched (properly), even the cockpit video I only checked a couple sections. Great videos but I want the initial experience to remain fresh. :) Jay Vorkapic
July 31, 201114 yr haha, I can tell you, I have watched these videos a lot, still going to be exciting to fly her :) I love how Nick gets carried away "think it was by another airline, can't remember who it was" and he is talking about temperatures :D awesome video, appreciate the little bit of humor in it as well :) Marc M.
July 31, 201114 yr I was wondering.. whether turning off the yaw dumper shouldn't also lead to dutch roll showing up eventually, if the air is more turbulent? Can you experience this sort of effect in the NGX? cheers,Jakub Jakub Szewczyk
July 31, 201114 yr if i had to choose between watching a 200 million dollar blockbuster movie or one of your unscripted movies it's bye bye to Hollywood. what surprises me is that the ground shaking effect of the ezdock is hardly noticeable. you seem to have more shaking during flight. is that take off that comfortable or is it related to the settings of the ezdock? and if so, what would be a realistic setting for a 737 NG? July 31, 201114 yr Awesome video. Just finished it for the 2nd time, now I just want the plane!! :D Marc M.
July 31, 201114 yr Nice video! Arises a couple of questions from me: 1. To my understanding, turning on the CWS offers autotrim and "bank hold". How often is it normally used? Since Nick said you need to pay a lot of attention into trimming the airplane vs. the MD-11, I would be curious to know why not just turn on the CWS after takeoff? 2. Is the yaw damper normally turned on throughout the flight? So even when flying by hand, you don't need to use any rudder input except in crosswind landings? In MD-11, the YD does not seem to be able to keep the "ball" centered, and I'm wondering if the 737 has actually got the first fully working yaw damper simulation in PMDG (or FS) history?
July 31, 201114 yr Author Commercial Member But maybe as a consideration for any future videos? I have a whole wide range of friend who also are deaf and love aviation, but always are disappointed when to see any tutorials have no captions. I'll look forward to any responses. We would love to do subtitles, not only for the hard of hearing but also for those for whom English isn't their first language. The training itself is scripted, so there is potential for this. At the very least I would imagine that we will provide the scripts, but we will definitely look into subtitles. It's been requested by many over the past months. You were irretated by the Max TO Weight because it was 174,7. You were correct this is the MAX Taxi Weight. I looked it up in my manuals. But you fly the 800 in the video aren't you ? Because those weights are for the 900. The 800 has got 155,5 Max TO Weight. I'm confused about this :D Certificated MTOW for the -800 is 174,200 bs. Some airlines may choose to have their airlines certified to lower limits. Quite why the FCOM says 155.5 I'm not sure, especially as it's not an airline specific version. See the Boeing site and several other sources, and you'll see that the actual value is 174,200. Max taxi weight is 174,000lbs. I love how Nick gets carried away "think it was by another airline, can't remember who it was" and he is talking about temperatures :D awesome video, appreciate the little bit of humor in it as well :) I looked it up afterwards, I was actually right that it was Laker Airways, but it was a UK carrier, not a US carrier! When will the AoA training material be released? With the release of the NGX? We won't have completed content to release on day 1. if i had to choose between watching a 200 million dollar blockbuster movie or one of your unscripted movies it's bye bye to Hollywood. what surprises me is that the ground shaking effect of the ezdock is hardly noticeable. you seem to have more shaking during flight. is that take off that comfortable or is it related to the settings of the ezdock? and if so, what would be a realistic setting for a 737 NG? Thanks for the kind words, that means a lot! I had the EZCA settings fairly low, that is independent of the NGX. As for 'realistic' settings I think that's hard to quantify! Your body/head/eyes dampen the motion in real life anyway. Nick Collett i5 2500k @ 4.4GHz, GTX 480, 8GB Corsair 8-8-8-24, 300GB WD Velociraptor, Corsair HX850W
July 31, 201114 yr Really great video Nick - they blow me away each time! Best regards, happy flying, Wallace
July 31, 201114 yr Nick "It's not the FMC, it's the CDU, but I wont get to much into, well actually the CDU jsut displays what the FMC Calculates..." Some 10,000 words later, Nick : "I hope I haven't gone to much into that."
July 31, 201114 yr Hi Nick!Your videos get me very excited, and I will surely buy your NGX training. I have a couple of Qs.1. Above you said something about how you won't have completed material at release. Does this mean that you will release certain videos or a partial course of some sort with the release of the NGX as was previously implied by Chris? Or has that changed, and now you will not offer anything on release of the NGX?2. Just curious as to what the general price figure looks like. I would like to know how much to anticipate, and what to set aside. Thanks so much for your time, and again, excellent job on the videos! Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

July 31, 201114 yr Very awesome work Nick. You will have a trainee on this AC. Loved your 767 training and learned a lot. I look forward to see how you step this up with the NGX. Thanks so much! JP Joe Porter
