Just did my first (short) Testflight (EDDM - EDDF) with this New Bird...only one word to say "Awesome!"Smoothest FlightSim Experience ive ever had. Hand Flying is a Breeze .Autopilot acts really clean. And for the FRAMERATES....VERY GOOD. Installed it on my second Rig.. Core 2 Duo E4300 @ OC 3,2GHZ ,4GB Ram, NVidea 8800GTS.Got about 20-30Frames on Mega Airport EDDF, feels really smooth the whole time ..no framedrops on approach. Really Nice.Best Plane ever Fly on a Flightsim! Congratulations PMDG!

I had fun just playing with the lights and trying to find all the knobs lol and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the HUDS. It's just a beautiful aircraft, the lighting is just awesome, all the buttons and knobs, everything works, literally everything is modeled except for the fuses, I'd be afraid to touch the fuses anyways lol. Love the aircraft and thank you again PMDG I just can't thank you enough.

The lights are dimming on FSX and only getting brighter for XPX.

Its definitely the smoothest transition into a release candidate i have ever experienced. Cannot wait to get back from work!

Cheers!

just had my first circuit, i have to say this is even better than i ever expected because the a/cis so undemanding on resources thescenery is much sharper this is way better on frame rates than anything else that i have boughtImpressed!!!!!!

well i would say they are on a par with the Level-D 767. considering the definition of the textures they are very good. Either way, there's no chance that you'll be dissappointed
If FPS are somehow similar to Level D 767, well, I am starting to feel better. Could you please confirm that ? I think it is enough to load just for few seconds in the same airport the LD 767 first and then the NGX, CTRL Z and if you could report them here I would appreciate it a lot indeed. Thanks in advance

I have done three flights so far and all the above is true. Its just great and the heads up is just so good.

I am ready to purchase but before I do I would like to know if it comes with a 2D panel option as PMDG other products do. I prefer to actually fly the plane using a 2D. Can any of you confirm that? Craig (real world pilot)

If someone can just confirm that (2D panel availability) I am chomping-at-the-bit to purchase! Craig

Thank you Paul. Craig

Wow, I've just finished ironing out the minor bugs with my system and completed my first flight. I'm rather speechless. Absolutely amazing! For all of you who are worried about frames, I wouldn't be. I have an old school system below the min specs and I'm running her at a steady 20fps with REX 2.0 and high settings (incl. light bloom). So amazing. No other sim will ever be the same.Regards,

Sam

Just added a few liveries and loaded up and flew Westjet flight from Montreal to Toronto on Vatsim. My initial impressions as follows: EZDok - good profiles, although the Captains profile on my computer pointed to the back wall, something I need to fix later. The graphics on the display panels are generally good, although I noticed some strange lines on the black part of the display and a bit of flashing lines as you pulled back the zoom. This may just be my video card setup although I do have a good card and it is setup per NickN settings. Framerates are very good, however, I did experience some pauses and one short section in cruise where the framerates dropped to 1 FPS until I switched out of full screen and back again. I really don't think this is a big issue, probably related to me not having defragged the HD after install. Hand flying is excellent, certainly on a par or better than the Level D Sim and there are some very nice movements of the cockpit in flight simulating some light turbulence, it seemed different to what you normally get with FSX. Sounds are really mind blowing and best I have heard, sounds just like the real deal when compared to flying as PAX. Graphics of the buttons, switches and their movement are amazing. Overall, excellent addon, seems familiar if you fly other complex boeing addons yet will require some additional learning (obviously!). Well worth the money in my view. Note: Other addons I own for FSX: Level D Sim 767, PMDG J41, Level D Sim ConcordeX. Mark.

I wasnt expecting the strobe effect at all. As I was ending my landing roll on the first night flight I realised what I was seeing, a little bit of strobe being reflected onto the tarmac makes for such a realistic effect. The landing light effect is also better then anything i've seen so far. I get way worse frame rates in the J41, this is performing very well considering its complexity.
