EZdok Profile with NGX?

Featured Replies

For those of you lucky enough to get the NGX - did you get an EZdok profile with it or have you had to create your own?

the profile seems off though the viewpoint is far to low. and it's not compatible with nicks track ir profile

Hi, yes the profile does work within the sim. I cannot however configure the tool outside FSX yet. Afte I installed the plane I tried to run the EZDOK Config tool and it said:"Unable to write to E:.....\PMDG737-800NG\aircraft.cfg" The result is that I cannot do this nice walkaround. Any of you experiencing this "problem"? Regards, Christopher Volle

Flipping awesome. Even if it just needs a tweak I will be happy. Cheers guys.

Views seem great, no, perfect to me. Worked with my TrackIR profile. Why would you use some one elses' profile? There are variables that make this idea a bad one.

Hi Chris, Have you remembered to run the EZDok Configuration tool after installing the NGX? It'll need to insert an entry into the aircraft.cfg.

Before you do that, make sure they're not read-only.

Yes, but there the error appeared, I looked into it and it appears that the aircrfaft.cfg files of the NGX are "read-only". I switched this option off and reran the EZDOK tool, now it works. I hope this is no violation of any legal issue. MAybe I just turn the feature on again after the entries have been inserted, Regards, Christopher Volle

Thanks, but i figured it out myself LOL.gif

Where did you find the profile? For me it only came up with the default 737 profile that already exists with the Exdok software. It is not specific to the NGX.

no legal issues with removing the "Read only" box, as this was the first thing that the Livery Manager asked for to do, so i guess nothing to worry about. Can't wait to get back home.

It came with a profile, but that profile didn't include any dynamic head movement/random vibration data. I have a set of vibration files that I tweaked for the Level-D 767.I just imported the whole set into the NGX profile and the result was pretty dang good.Good ground shaking rolling down the runway, and normal smooth/gentle air turbulence on wheels up.
