Just flew WJA124 from Vancouver to Calgary this morning, my first full flight: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/WJA124/history/20110811/1400Z/CYVR/CYYC I can't get over how the PMDG bird flies, usually I get a visual cue (stutter) when other aircraft I fly begin a turn... the NGX does not do this!

Westjetter, I'm relatively new to Virtual Westjet. I think that this VA could be really good if we could get the one guy who seems to be holding the reigns to let some folks give him a hand to get this VA back on track. I've been posting screenshots and trying to get some conversations started. This VA supposedly had an agreement with the actual Westjet Airlines. Try going over to the forums and posting your willingness to help. I know a number of people were waiting for the NGX to come out to maybe get things going again. Hey I am also a member. I tried to join the forum but my sign up never gets confirmed. Hey I would love to help. But we need a few of us to actually do something haha. Cause virtual westjet has lots of potential as you stated. I just find it really frustrating cause really if you just updated the routes and maybe just used some sort of route bidding/dispatch software it would be awesome!! I think if we all work together we can get a good solid VA going!

Lets touch base,, The current WestJet V/A I believe is shutting down. They have failed attempts at keeping currency and I believe they are on their way out the door, This is a fantastic Idea!!!!

Sorry, but where did you get this information from? Not trying to start anything, just curious. Especially considering I have almost 500 hours with them, and would hate to lose those hours.

Well fellow Calgarian here. Not a "Westjetter" per sae though haha... i think shaneyyc is a good Westjet source here. Jack Colwill is an FO for em who dabbles in the forums.

It doesnt necessarily have to be a VA just something where everyone can talk routes, add-ons ect. To be honest I have been a virtual westjet member for awhile and it has been very dissapointing. Just my opinion. I stopped filing PIREPS cause thats pretty much all you can do. Cause there isn't much that it offers currently. I think if we can maybe work to get the current one going that might be easier and more fufilling for us all!! Keep the feedback and ideas flowing guys!!

Hey all,I was thinking all night and i think that we should try to help Darcy at Virtual Westjet. The site has lots of potential. If we could get some good people together and propose to help i think we could bring it back from downtime it is currently in. I have received a message from a fellow who has real world 737 experience along with website building knowledge. This is just what we need. Good people that are willing to help. Even if you dont have a resume such as his you are always welcome to help in whatever capacity you desire. We will never turn anybody away. Hey guys just an update. I along with a few others are trying to get a hold of Darcy (CVO of Virtual Westjet). We basically are going to try and get the current VA up and running to full capacity. Just lend a hand to Darcy. Cause he is most likely busy with his own life. It would be so nice to have a fully functioning, active VA. Just an idea, you guys can comment or modify it if you would like. But how bout adding realistic bidding and flight dispatch? Like im not sure how Westjet does it in real life but something like Fusion Airways has where you bid on flights. Anyways keep the feedback coming guys. Hope to talk soon, WestJetter
