Long time WestJetter here....Lived in Calgary when Westjet launched years ago...all they had was a handful of 737-200's ....wish I had bought their stock on the initial offering, would have done quiet nicely :-) cheers Greg

Im a proud Calgarian!! They fly over my house all the time. Also flown many times on westjet and love it!! Sounds good VARIG i would be glad to share canadian stuff as well.Just a thought i had:I did join Virtual Westjet but it is rarely updated. The route map is outdated and most of the info is old. If any of you guys have any computer knowledge I would love to create our own Westjet VA or just a community where we could converse on all things Westjet. Then we could find other Westjetters out there who need a place to call home.. Let me know what you guys think. Cheers, Westjetter

I was able to visit the westjet Maintenance Hangar a few years ago, when they just had a few 200s...I actually could sit into the captain seat in One their a/c :D Is the "wingless wonder" still there? :(

Cool well do you have any computer knowledge. Like website building experience or anything?? I just have limited experience. But id be wiling to learn or do lots of other stuff to contribute to the VA. Definitely throw me an email. Another Calgarian here (by birth), and Westjet nut as well. Currently living just outside Vancouver. All my NGX flights have been westjet flights so far.

id love to fly some of the westjet routes that are shown in my DVDs (wouldairoutes) but im having a hard time finding the right charts for a few of them. I have navgraph but its only giving me the bigger airfields in Canada but not some of the smaller ones like CYLW (Kelowna) CYQQ (Comox) and Regina (CYQR) where do you guys get these? feel silly flying without even the basic charts. EDIT, just found some of the charts i need on Vatsim =) good times!

Westjetter, I'm relatively new to Virtual Westjet. I think that this VA could be really good if we could get the one guy who seems to be holding the reigns to let some folks give him a hand to get this VA back on track. I've been posting screenshots and trying to get some conversations started. This VA supposedly had an agreement with the actual Westjet Airlines. Try going over to the forums and posting your willingness to help. I know a number of people were waiting for the NGX to come out to maybe get things going again.
