Is it just me or is there something wrong with the NGX Sounds?

Seriously... Another passenger claiming something rediculous from passenger experience...
Passenger experience? Yes. Ridiculous? What? No. I'm entitled to my opinion, and IMO there is something not right about the NGX interior sounds. What would be ridiculous is if someone made my claim without actually sitting in a real 737. Did I do that? No.
I think i know what you mean, Are you saying that the sound as in tone etc is different? Like at the back you suggested a much louder and rumbled sound.. ?
YES. At the back of any jetplane really, as the plane spools up, you hear the whine and then around the 50-60% N1, a really loud rumbling sound instead of the engine whine. That is not there in the NGX. Karan

Eeh...did you press Q twice in the cockpit. In that case I think the sound will be spot on!

The point is, this is a simulation about flying the aircraft. Not riding in it. Sounds reflect this.

You can't just shrug off something by saying 'well that's not what this things meant for'. This is supposed to be the best, most realistic, most in-depth aircraft ever. Simulation is not the only thing that reflects this. Sound does it too, as an immersion factor, if it's wrong, then that's a problem. My opinion can be wrong, but IMO I will still say the sounds are a bit iffy, especially the spoolup sound. That is my opinion. But it's quick ridiculous to say 'this is a simulation so sound can be wrong', when sound is a huge factor in simulation itself. This is regardless of whether I am wrong or not.

You are missing the point. The point was that in real life it sounds differently from the cockpit compared to from the cabin. The NGX internal sounds are designed for the cockpit. Your reference is from the cabin. The comparison is not a valid one.

Nope, I am talking about the actual engine sounds, not the ambient cockpit sounds. I doubt that the spool up sound of the 737 will suddenly change from Row 1 to the cockpit, the basic sound will be the same, right? I am not talking about the cockpit sounds, I am talking about the cabin area sounds.

Bingo. To the OP. Do you ride from the cabin a lot in FS? I'm just curious why you spent $70 on something if you simply wanted wing views and sounds. Those things can be had for $40 or less!

What?. Of course I fly the plane and enjoy the realism. But, I'm not exactly bounded to the cockpit right? Sometimes I like seeing the wings bounce and flex during takeoff, and for someone who has never been in a cockpit, that is the only way I can relate this to real-life flying. .Sometimes I like doing the same during landing and seeing the flaps extend and wings bounce. I can have it the best of both worlds, I don't always have to be in the cockpit.

I see you point. Sorry I'm so short. I'm on my phone sitting at a podunk airport.

I flew on a 737-800 in June and I think the sounds are fitting! The closer to the cockpit the more whine and less rumble, but you are right I miss the rumble sound as you apply take off thrust. But the whine is definitely true to the real thing IMO.

you guys are crazy if you think non pilots shouldn't have an opinion on the sounds. Passengers can hear as well. Plus, what does being a pilot have to do with hearing flap and spoilers sounds over the wing?

Did they not fix a mic to the end of a real aircrafts wing to record the sounds incase someone wanted to position themselves there for takeoff? Talk about cutting corners PMDG!

You missed something. The sounds from the cockpit aren't exactly the same as what the pax hear. Considering FSX's limitations, the point is very valid.
