Still another good 737 NGX manual with button diagrams

Featured Replies

Whereas PMDG is doing everything to keep paying customers from getting any extra information (for example by blocking last weekend access to the PMDG 737 NG manuals that were online at the PMDG site), I have found another very useful manual to complement the ones that you get with NGX. There is a 400+ page operations manual for free download for the Ifly 737 NGX plane. The plane just came out yesterday, but the manual was put online some time ago. Among other useful information, this manual contains diagrams and explanations for ALL of the panel buttons on the 737NG, information that you can only get from PMDG by paying for the extra manuals. I have not seen ay comparisons with the IFLY NGX and the PMDG one yet, and I am looking forward to seeing some (I bought the PMDG one). That was a great move of PMDG to block access to their own 737 NG manuals, now customers will go to the competition to get information that PMDG has blocked, thereby giving IFly more access to PMDG customers and potential customers. When you spit into the wind... In my profession, I have always fought against any attempts to control information by destroying information, and this is a good example of how it usually backfires. The plane just came out yesterday, I wish you would get your facts correct as the iFly 737NGX has been out for a good few months. Don't understand what your gripe is trying to stir this up just because PMDG blocked access to the 737 manuals. They have a right to do with their copyright as they see fit. As far as I'm concerned,I have all the required manuals that shipped with the NGX release. What more is required beyond that beats me?

Henri, That smells flamewar. Useless flamewar. The demonstration collapses when you say "I have not seen any comparisons with the IFLY NGX and the PMDG one yet". I can tell you it's like saying "I use a Lada notice for my Ferrari, as it's free". Non-sense, but you can do this. In my only and personal opinion, I bought a Ferrari with the PMDG NGX, and I paid to get the notice. The Lada-like handmade notice you mention has NOTHING to be compared to the thousand page Boeing genuine notice. This has a price PMDG paid for us in advance to the manufacturer.

There's a multitude of free information instantly available on the internet from generic checklists to tips, techniques & advice from real-world pilots to complete panel diagrams & systems explanations. The plane ships (downloads) with 3,800 pages of official Boeing manuals without any additional purchases necessary. Soon enough AoA will begin hours upon hours of detailed video training. What more could we possibly need?

I think PMDG were right to take down the 737 NG manuals etc. That product is no longer available. Fred.

Good point. Those manuals go to a discontinued product. They were never intended to be for the NGX.

What in the world are you talking about? The manuals come with the plane. If you were a paying customer you'd know that.

We're sorry that 3,275 pages of detailed information and cockpit diagrams that PMDG has provided with the PMDG 737NGX is too difficult for you to digest.
