FSX main screen crashes after ending a flight

Featured Replies

Hello captains! There's an issue happening with my FSX and I guess you can help me. I installed 737NGX and all hotfixes on my Windows 7 64bits.The aircraft works fine during all the flight. But when I press ESC and then click in "End Flight"the FSX crashes and the main screen appears on the lower right corner of the screen, with a "NO TITLE" message, just like the message below: error.png It happens only with NGX...What could it be? I have the latest version of DirectX and all Windows updates installed. Thanks in advance! My PC configuration:Windows 7 64bitsHD 1TBProcessor: Intel i7Motherboard: ASUS Rampage III ExtremeRAM: 8GB

Hello anonymous, What happens if you CTRL + C instead? Is your default flight the Trike?

Vonmar, thanks!I really didn't know about the CTRL + C shortcut. It helped me a lot! But regarding the screen... is this a 737NGX bug?By the way... when will the Service Pack 1 come out?

If you are running AES or any other airport enviroment make sure it has finished its process before exiting FSX. and make sure your in the cockpit aswell when doing so i have ran a few tests over the past month with this and if i keep to those rules i seem to cut out the CTD just a thought as i know we all have different specs. Regards Steve

Another option is to never stop flying. Just refuel at the gate & take off for somewhere else.

I get exactly the same with the screen partially hidden on the lower right side. I have to exit flight (for now).Quite a few people have this problem with the NGX. Can't wait for SP1.

I have the same issue. I submitted a ticket and this was the answer:"Known issue, quit the sim by exiting directly from the menu for now." - Ryan Maziarz, Technical Support So simply leave FSX by pushing the "Exit" button instead of the "End Flight" button.

I have this behavior as well. My workaround is to leave the "END FLIGHT" message sit for about 10 Seconds, then hit enter. Not a solution, but a fine work around.

I tried that method, unfortunately i didn't work for me. It might work for someone else though.

Well, it didn't work for me either...I hope that bug will be fixed in SP1.

It doesn't seem to have been. It still happens for me, but not always.Andy Lawton
