PFC and Flight?

Featured Replies

Haven't been really into the flight sim hobby for years now.. well actually since FSX came out and my old school computer unable to run it! Plus being a commercial pilot, and living in a real simulator daily instructing doesnt make me wanna fly another sim at home! LOLSooo with winter coming up, and a new computer to finally be built.. maybe I'll dip back in on the occasion... but the question like my topic says.. is there going to be any support for PFC equipment... if not, I guess FSX will finally get installed!

How could anyone possibly answer your question? Without any interaction with the nice folks working on Flight, there's absolutely no way to know anything at all!

I realize its early, but there was also rumblings Pete Dowson wasn't going to make a FSUIPC for a new version... I can only assume MS is not going to make this GAME support certified IFR equipment.. tea time?? maybe TEE time then we can talk... Kapalua Plantation anyone?

That's not a good reason to assume that it won't support IFR. He's not doing FSUIPC because he doesn't have the time/interest for rewritting FSUIPC AGAIN for a new version of flight sim. It's not a simple task. If it's early, how would Pete even know that Flight doesn't support IFR? Lets be logical. Big%20Grin.gif

At least we have some positive thinkers around here..

With developers locked out, does that mean that PMDG are not going to be able to make 747s for Flight or Level D not going to be able to make the 767...etc? RH

The only words I have read directly from developers is that they are not locked out or have anymore info than the rest of us. Going with what they are saying rather than what we think they are saying is a safe bet at this time.
Walk on the wild side Sir!Drink that tea.At nine thirty pm .Its wild and liberating act.
Agreed Lord Horatio of Wondersocks, but let's face it. Tea at that time is just not cricket.

Give me true and legitimate proof of devs being locked out.... Do you work at MS? - I think not.

Actually I said nothing about Flight not supporting IFR , I was talking about PFC being certified IFR equipment and the support not being in the Flight software for it.... and on a sidenote, the PFC driver required FSUIPC to function....

"Give me true and legitimate proof of devs being locked out....Do you work at MS? - I think not." I can't give you proof that developers have ben locked out of Flight and am glad I can't and just had misinformation in my head. I don't work for MS. What was the confusion that developers had an issue with in terms of Flight? RH
