Because the arguments are so silly you can't but help deflating the hot air balloons. Now, if he had stopped at "I don't care" then great, not everything is for everyone. But then when the reasoning doesn't match up with the stance you've got to say something. LOL, stay home, drink there for cheaper, save up your money each month and buy the $10 USD equivalent subscription!! Fair enough!

It's difficult to grasp why someone on a PMDG forum of all places doesn't really care that much about flight simming to throw ten Bucks a month at it, but each to their own. I spend more than that getting to work each day, so that kind of puts some perspective on it for me. Small price to pay for another roll of the sim dice. Al

Exactly, well said.

You don't need to grasp it. You just have to accept it. I have my reasons and that's the end of the story. Your Jedi mind tricks trying to guilt me into changing my view won't work on me. wink.png

I don't appreciate the passive aggressive undertones. If you want to call me an idiot just do so, but save yourself the smiling-face-knife-behind-the-back-routine, thank you very much.

I know, that's why I also wrote the bit you missed off the quote of my post LOL - ''each to their own.'' Al

No, that would be too easy.

Let's just get back to the original issue at hand and not play forum wars.

It's difficult to grasp what PREPAR3D brings to the table that begs a subscription. I also can't grasp paying $10 a month for what is essentially a stable "beta". I could see paying a one time fee of $40-$100. That's what it's worth to me. They need to really step up the simulation for me to even consider paying a subscription to take my add on aircraft for a spin. Even then, I hate the idea. 3 years from now I would have spent over $360 on the same title. That makes me cringe and I'm afraid many developers are starting to lean towards this practice. I realize this is becoming an even more niche market, but that doesn't make me more willing to fork out my CC information. I'm also not getting the weird attitude towards Patrick. He seems to be the only level headed one on this particular topic... Hypnotized.gif PS. How much are they paying you for this? LOL.gif

Beta? It is a repaired FSX. FSX is much more of a "beta" than P3D is.

Prepar3d is much more user based--The devs actually respond and they genuinely care about our hobby and they want to improve it-That much dedication from the devs was enough for me to make the switch.... MS didn't seem to give a flying-fadoodle about us Hardcore Simmers.

I realize this, but the price is steep to me. Check my post, I edited it a bit! Don't want you thinking I sneaked it in there!

I read it; I still firmly believe Prepar3d is the future for our hobby. Period.-FSX is old. P3D is FSX on steroids and getting better as every day passes.

Period? Well. I guess that's the end of the discussion then! I'll leave it to the people that agree with you in here, then! j/k If that's the case I'm glad people are showing enthusiasm with it.
