ENB Series: I don't need it anymore

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm excited with Shade FSX. Now FSX is closer to reality, as you can see in this vid. I will not use ENB Series anymore, so I got a few fps and smooth.

I hope you'll enjoy with this short vid! Cheers!

I thought Shade FSX include the ENB files?

Yes, includes an ENBSeries.ini file, but it's optional to use it. I got a beautiful environment with the light, shadows and fog that Shade offers.

Isnt this the third non PMDG or NGX related thread you've started to advertise this product?

It's the second one. I don't try to advertise, so I'm not related in any way with the producer. I only want to share my excitement.

What exactly is the difference between ENB and Shade ? Mark.

While that's fine and dandy I suppose, this is a support forum for the ngx. Not for totally unrelated products. Though I would like to see how it looks with the ngx

And this has what to do with PMDG or the NGX? The video doesn't even feature a PMDG product.Nice looking video though, but the sky colors, while pretty, dont look very realistic imho, to each their own though.Jim

ENB Series adds bloom dinamically to the image, and Shade are textures that replaces the FSX's originals ones with no additional fps consumption. You can use both, but I think that Shade is enough to get a nice environment with no fps loss.
Which one of Shade's presets are you using?
I use the defaults that I downloaded from their forum.

Sorry Jim, I only would to show how Shade changes the FSX environment, I didn't use the NGX because I thought she is too fast to make a fly like the video's one, and the important thing was to show how shade works. About the realism, you can modify all the shade, light and fog's settings for every TOD in order to get more realistic according to your criteria. Gerard.

I tested on NGX and loved the result. We have a nice shadow effect in virtual cockpit, especially in turns. The lighting is perfect. Thanks for the tip Gerard.
