October 24, 201114 yr What I would love to see, is rare and small variations in knobs settings after loading a panel - simulating previous crews using the airplane.Doing all preflight checks of panel state makes sense in RL, because previous crew/maintenance might had left something in a non-standard setting. And I don't mean putting all switches randomly out of order. Rather having a chance of say 20% that maybe one thing will be set improperly, and even much lower if it is something important and easy to spot. In terms of how things are usually set it makes no big difference, but in terms of expectations a huge difference - you just cannot be _sure_ that when you enter the plane, everything will exactly be as always.Like with failures - having even 1 random failure per 10 hrs makes me montor things much more closely, because something _may_ break, even if chances for that are low.Otherwise I just remember what knobs are set to, I can be 100% sure, so there is no need to do the preflight checks.I already posted this idea in the support system, and Ryan answered they are too busy with more important things.Well, but since this is a wish-list. ;-)+1jos denis
October 24, 201114 yr I believe the turning radius is way too wide.. At crowded airports it's impossible to push back past other parked aircraft and turn a tight 90 degress and be correctly lined up ready to taxi. Instead it takes a wide turn. I hope I'm being clear here?At Heathrow i have to do a 0 meter straight back and a 90 degree turn and i still go about 5 meters past the centre line of the taxiway Regards Cori a.k.a Stealth
October 24, 201114 yr Am I the only one who thinks that threads like this are retarded? Many of the items posted here are available through add-ons. The 737NGX is the most advanced simulation ever for FSX. How far can you realistically expect them to go with it?Let PMDG do what they already have planned...release 600/700/SP1/SDK and then concentrate their efforts on releasing their next product and fixing whatever "bugs" creep up in this one. Adding all of these features may possibly ruin the delicate balance that is the NGX. Leave it alone and move on.Just my humble opinion.Do you realise how offensive the word "retarded" can be, not to say inappropriate here? If you don't like the thread subject, don't join in. Simple.Anyway, this is a thread to collect people's wish-list items in a single place, rather than in random threads. As such it serves a good purpose. The idea is to make PMDG aware of the more popular wish-list suggestions before they move on to the next product. Because once they do that, nothing else will be changed on this product. Some of the items may already be in SP1, but we have no way of knowng that yet. Some may be impossible to add given design constraints. Not all the things being asked for are available elsewhere, for example:PMDG provide a pushback interface, but it turns too wide. I'm not bothered about keeping to the lines but turn radius should be realistic.PMDG livery downloads don't have thumbnails.Realistic refuelling rate is not provided elsewhere.Kevin Hall

October 24, 201114 yr Author @Kevinh Thanks mate, And everyone else thanks for replying and voicing your opinions, im not sure PMDG has looked yet though as only the DEV team has popped in,, Regards Michael Atherton
October 24, 201114 yr Besides the co-pilot's callouts, that some people here already mentioned, i'd like to request flight model change towards more realistic stall behavior. No matter what i do with the airplane it just wouldn't stall, which feels utterly unrealistic. I like the way the flight model designed in this respect in CaptainSim's 757 and 767. I even tried to fix it myself using air file manager, but could not find the correct values to be changed Thanks, Aleksey Dementyev

Considerable discussion has been had on these forums around realistic stall behaviour. I'll leave it to you to search for reference, but in summary, this is not an area of the flight envelope that you would ever spend any time in, if we're talking real-world operations. Given the nature of FSX flight modelling, it would be a fairly complex thing to add to the product and the average user would probably go out and play with it once, if at all. The 737 is not an aerobatic airplane. Mark Adeane - NZWN
October 25, 201114 yr Thanks for a quick reply, Mark. 737 is indeed not an aerobatic plane, i just wanted it to be a lot stricter on AOA's. IMHO it would add some adrenaline and enjoyement as well as discipline, handflying our otherwise excellent NGX.Aleksey Dementyev
October 25, 201114 yr some really great idees mentionned already! My request is ultra tiny: a minimum number of passengers when using random payload. Now it happens that I have only one passenger and his suitcases :-)jos denis
October 26, 201114 yr Think some good suggestions...but also think their some that are actually best left to add on developers to include. Which is why a SDK is so important for PMDG to get out ASAP.Reasoning behind this, is that although PMDG could spend time and energy adding some features, they will mainly be watered down due to the limitations of time etc they have to put into it. So things like fo call outs etc would be limited. Now some might say hey happy with the limited option, but this is where the problems come for addon developers who want to give you a more detailed and complete simulation of this feature, because first they have to get passed the default bit, a rough example of this is the leveld 767 where fs2crew needs you to disable all the fo calls etc, but this also makes you lose some other bits.So in my view what PMDG aircraft need to be is good at supporting addons by making sure they have a good SDK and access to the various variables. The likes of fs2crew, aes, etc and other addon makers can then give us a far better immersive feature set, such as realistic push backs, even real time fuelling, interaction with things like topcat etc.not to mention hardware. Why have a dodgy pushback feature, with one set of voices regardless of where in the world you are, that can't handle pull forwards also when the likes of aes the upcoming fsdt development and even fscrew do it far better. Topcat could be linked to the ngx to load fuel per your load sheet, aes likewise could fuel and load pax per load sheet taken from topcat, file, fscrew could do same interacting with all 3. But all to do this better need an SDK.so my requests are to see the SDK, and then see features added to the fmc etc that allow for interaction with these sodtwares, such as maybe active sky for weather updates through acars etc. simply PMDG need to provide the access, let the other addon makers provide the functionality, not hinder it because of half made attempts in the ngx that then get in the way of a better system.
