I did these a while ago, just a few days after they released the NGX. Not sure if this is even possible anymore after they changed the slow flight dynamics post SP1.But it was fun.

I only got one of a landing in Maui:

The landing really wasn't that bad (yah... -348 fpm.... but its Kahului - short runway, lots of wind hehe) Also, the cockpit audio touchdown effect I put in made it sound like plane was falling apart Worried.gif There are a couple of FSrecorder errors in there like the spoiler going crazy before touchdown, airspeed bouncing up and down, autobrakes in position 2 instead of 3 etc. The wingview audio is from a video I took on the real flight a year ago.

I'm not sure but I would say the average 'good' landing for me is -100 to -250 fpm. Remember, a firm touchdown right on the markings is alot better then a super-smooth -50 fpm halfway down the runway. My personal record is -42 but thats dangerous because the brakes won't engage until the full weight of the plane comes down on the mains (I think). Most VAs have a limit of -700 fpm.

I've never flown a real aircraft and am curious what would be a "good" touchdown rate on the runway? Hypnotized.gif
I looked for info in regards to Airworthiness cert on landing rates for the 73's and couldn't find any. But I did find info on the 747's and they were certified up to 10 feet per second (600fpm) before a "hard landing inspection" was required.I can only guess that since the 73's are smaller and lighter and that they have a SFL package, that maybe they were certified for high rates.Maybe a 73 driver can comment.,JB
