I think Ray means it doesn't look like a F-15E's VC. Comparing pictures of the real cockpit and yours just don't match up.
Frankly, Glenn, I would like to know what doesn't matchup on the panels. I have seen F-15E's, and we researched through many photos and had the real world F-15E T.O. -1 as well.Every piece of avionic in the cockpit matches exactly. Every switch, light, button. The MFD's software is a very close match even as there are some portions of the MFD functions that we did not replicate such as RWS, terrain following radar, etc ...The infamous arm rests were designed to model the latest Goodyear ACES seat, called the ACES Modular. They are not yet installed on the F-15E, but the USAF is in the final phase of retrofitting the seats already in the F-15E with the ACES Modular. The USAF is also looking at various methods to prevent the pilot's or WSO's arms from flayling back on ejection, and those methods include combining arm rests with a net that spans over the shoulders and pins the upper arms to the chest and the lower arms to the arm rests. The HUD was looked at by a real world F-15E pilot who reported that it was a very faithful replication of the real one. It also matches what is in the real world Dash-1.So, again, since I served 24 years as a USAF navigator and pilot, earning my way to evaluator pilot for my last squadron before I retired, I would seriously like to know what the beef with the VC really is.Sincerely,Ken Stallings

The AG tutorials are online. We will be posting aerial refueling and AA takedown videos shortly.Thanks.Edit: FYI, these are all the real systems that the Eagle E has and work as per the T.O.Now THAT'S DEVELOPMENT!

I have to disagree, that information you stating isn't in the TO.See the AG and AA weapon systems is considered classified and would be treason if you had that information and released it to the public. See people fail to realize that when you see a game or sim with weapons, they are all best guess information, and are somewhat generalized. So which is it?

Edit. Ok. I will have to apologise to Glenn. I have it wrong. The TO was not used to create the radar and weapons controls. It's not exact but it's very close. However, it is VERY close. If Paco Harris (a F-15E IP with over 2000 hrs in) was able to fly it and operate the radar AND the weapons without being taught how, then... it's pretty darned close. It needs to be said here that I am not a coder....Mods, I am going to ask that this person be asked not to post in this thread anymore. He is beyond rude and definately has some kind of hate on for us...

I am not being rude, I was being honest. I have no hate for you, I am sorry you feel that way. Please accept my apology.I just was making sure that people who don't have the TO will know there is no section on weapon deliver or radar in there. It is classified information and I just want to make sure they knew.As for the manual, you did copy a lot right out of the TO, which makes it look all copy and pasted in, and I noticed you even used diagrams from websites such as F-15E.info, I hope you did ask them and not just used them, that would copy right infringement.I thought I could post here, and that there shouldn't be a problem.

Ok ill step in here. The weapon system is CLOSE but not exact and neither for that matter is ANY sim out there. except of course maybe BMS and DCS A-10. The reason being is that yes the info is very limited. Not classified but simply unavailable in a format that we can get our hands on. We were able to get hold of the -34 for the F-15C however and for the A-G weapon system we went with what we could extrapolate from Jane's F-15 and incidently VRS did the same for the Superbug using Janes F-18 for what they couldnt get hold of.And Glenn, Colin doesnt exactly forgive and forget in a hurry. So...once you get off on the wrong foot with him you have to be veeery careful about what you say and how you say around him. Otherwise it just gets worse.

Milviz, you got to stop editing your posts so much, I respond to your comments then you delete them. Look, do me and every single one of your customers a favor.Fix the jet, that's all we want. i don't like it when i press the trigger to shoot the gun that it shoots 200 kc-135s out in front of me. Then when people try to help you, you attack them.Just be humble and fix your jet. Thanks, I leave you alone.RobertNarutokin,I am not a child, he needs to learn to respect people, I have been attacked by him for no reason from the start.Good day gentlemen,

Glenn. let me be perfectly frank and honest here: 1) you have been at us since the beginning and I am not the only one to notice. Some of your posts have been not only rude but also ill-informed and, in some cases, outright wrong and lies (they are, in fact, on this very forum). 2) If you were so honest and not being a troll why would you even suggest that we didn't ASK F-15E.info? If you actually LOOK on his site, you will find a link through to ours. We not only asked but we got permission to basically do whatever we wanted with the information at hand. And, as well, 99% of the information over there is in the clear already and can be sourced elsewhere....3) I think you have a right to your comments as long as they are constructive and truthful. However, that seems to be your lack. 4) You do have a hate on for us and your FB avatar proves it. I suggest that your apology after the fact is much the same as the horse out of the barn...

incidently VRS did the same for the Superbug using Janes F-18 for what they couldnt get hold of.
Jon Blum, owner of VRS also worked on previous F/A-18 games. His background in this particular airframe makes him what I would consider an expert on the subject. The Super Hornet he built upon NATOPS manuals as well as other numerous sources, including "those in the know." Further, he was given an opportunity to utilize an actual F/A-18E simulator if my memory serves me correctly. Having worked in the USAF in electronic warfare, I can confirm that the single biggest classified bits of information are those regarding radar capabilities, frequencies, techniques, etc. Their use and function is often documented however, but finding such source documentation can prove to be very painful. The military keeps tabs on such things as they fall under INFOSEC or other areas, even if they are not directly classified. There are always ways however to find unclassified information, and knowing people who maintain and/or fly or did so previously on these particular airframes as well as years of digging can provide a fairly clear picture on how to use the systems. It is a very intensive and ongoing research problem, but that is also one reason why Jon has patched the program progressively over the years... not only to ensure authenticity, but to further the system fidelity and function.
