December 5, 201114 yr Hi Reading that the FS2 crew version for the 737 is due out soon could someone please just maybe explain to me exactly what functions it actually performs. I have read some reviews and watched some you tube videos but just to be clear, can it actually take control of some of the flight, all of the flight. I have been using RC4 for some time now but want to concentrate specifically on the 737 and would love a programme like this to help me fly the plane, similar to how RC4 takes control on the default aircraft. I am enjoying trying to master the 737 but sometimes need help, especially with arrivals, STARS etc. Thanks Shaun
December 5, 201114 yr FS2Crew adds a first officer to your flight experience. You can control him either with buttons or with voice (depending on the version you're buying). The FO will do all actions a real Pilot Non Flying (PNF) and the copilot is doing (meaning he will handle the Flaps, the gear, the lights, transponder, and so on).If you have already written about it then you'll know what the programm can do, otherwise if you're not sure just take a look at some youtube videos showing what the programm can do.I'm not sure what will happen on this version of FS2Crew exactly, but in the MD11 version the FO was even able to do the takeoff. What he will not do is all the stuff like programming the FMC. Also he is not able to fly the aircraft in the way you've mentioned it above. What RC4 is doing is just activating the AP i think (And entring all the informations from the controller). You have to do this yourself in the NGX, this can't be done by FS2Crew, but it still is a very helpful programm when it comes to reducing your workload. Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!
December 5, 201114 yr Author Hi Emi Sounds like a real usefull tool. Hears hoping i win the compition but if not i'm sure i will buy it. Thanks Shaun

I allways thought that it would take away some of the fun in flying and doing all the buttons and switches, but MAN, was I in for a surprise!!Fs2Crew along with flying online with human ATC, is the two things that makes the experience complete.. It's hard to explain, but when you're on that difficuelt low vis approach or hi stress departure, having your FO to raise the gear, control the flaps by your commands (voice in my case), arm the new FL from ATC, or arm the LOC/APP when on approach, is just the coolest! It gives you the time to do what you do best - control the aircraft - making your performance better in landing, departing and so forth! What do you mean for controlling flaps ?Does the virtual copilot activate them accordingly to speed by himself alone or if you press a certain button he will put flaps up for instance and the second pressed button he will eventually put flaps 5 and so on..?ThxI use voicecontrol, and when flying the Ifly, I just say "flaps 5", and he does so. Every normal and many abnormal procedures can be voice controlled ;)Mas Martin Jensen

December 6, 201114 yr Here is a pretty good example of the fs2crew experience. Its not for the PMDG, but hopefully pretty close to what we will get. It is really really worth it in my opinion! Helge Rasmussen
