Payware or Freeware Airplane Suggestion

Yes, sometimes you get what you pay for... in the case of RealAir, I would say: Definitely.

The Aerosoft OV-10 Bronco would be a fine choice too.

Well I got the FSD Seneca V and Piper Navajo for $22 bucks. Did a few T&G's with the Seneca. The virtual cockpit is blurry but other than that it flys better than a default plane and has lots more to do. I guess for $11 each I'm pretty happy with it. I'm thinkin my overall FSX settings may have something to do with the poor graphics... Don't know??

Bert, if i'm not mistaken, isn't that the Carenado model? He was talking bout the FSD products. It is late and my eyes are tired, so maybe I'm wrong...LOL! By the way, Happy new year if I don't see you here before hand.Best, Jeff

Good stuff P47 I've got the FSD Navajo too and been really happy with it, mostly coz there are a few of them buzzing about still in new Zealand. Also have the FSD C337 which I bought just before the Carenado one came out, it's also good value. I do own the Carenado Seneca which is a beauty

There's quite a lot of good freeware stuff that transfers well from FS9. For example: If you like classic a/c then Dave Maltby's VC10 works well in FSX. Even better if you also include the 3 updates available on avsim. There is a fourth one imminent. Almost all the bells and whistles work. The updates contain all the full original and authentic civilian check lists complete with voice call outs, cabin intercom messages and cockpit calls. Even a night panel. The fourth update will have rwy info (for diversions), wind component meter, more cockpit callouts, three more working gauges and switches and probaly if time permits a daylit panel. All this for free!!!!!!!!!! And this model is approved by the Royal air Force, what more could you ask for!!!vololiberista

Thanks for the info . yea that is the wrong cockpit in the picture. I wish it looked that good.. I was messing around to learn where all the buttons and guages were and did $33k worth of engine damage and accidentally pulled the emergency landing gear switch. So I had to purge everything and start over in the loadout screen.. and this was even before the first flight. Anyway the only gripe i have about the Seneca is the 3D cockpit is really poor. Everything else is perfect. Flys great and it really cool to have everything work.

Woo Hoo Just got the Caranado PA46T Interesting in that there is a lot of stuff that is not modeled but the level of detail is great! Of course I don't know very much about a turboprop so I'm lost as hell.. But lots of forum reading and I'm getting up to speed. Seen a lot of great vid's on Utube also.
