Some Statistics Since 01/04/2012 at 0900 EDT

Just out of curiosity, I went and took a look at the forum stats for the 24 hour period ending at 0900 EDT today. That's 24 hours from the press release and images released by Microsoft for the upcoming FLIGHT sim posted yesterday at 0900. Here's what I found...New Topics Opened: 154Messages Posted: 2,111Number of Message Views: 71,37335,274 message views took place in the FLIGHT forum18,618 message views took place in the FLIGHT NEWS subforumThe Load on Our Server Machine is averaging about 2.2 (normal range is 0.7 - 0.8 )The number of members and guests on the forums has ranged from 500 to over 700 people at any given time.Knowing how AVSIM struggled with the announcement of the PMDG MD11 not so many years ago, the performance here has been amazing. And just for history's sake, in the proceeding 24 hours, the PMDG forum has had a paltry 5,000 or so views.

I wonder, after the shock and dismay sets in, if there will be a downturn in threads and visits? Maybe? Then things should get back to "normal" and the flight simmers life will continue onward towards the clear, blue skies. Or cloudy skies if you have AS2012 or REX or...

Were not going anywhere be it Flight or not to Flight....For me I am too heavily invested in FSX to put it away anytime soon.Cheers

This is how I feel, only with MSFS9.Tom: the stats are very interesting. Do you (or anyone here for that matter) have a jpg or screen capture of the site from before the hack? I'd love to see it . . .!

Jop, the some on my side. I´ve just purchased the NGX and plan to buy the -600/700. Too much money has been involved to swap it for Flight.also another statistic: The most members at one time was also on the 4th. Its number was 1,682. That is a bit more than it was when the NGX was released, which held the record.

Best regards, Steffen

Guys, remember when ACES closed 3 years ago? People were saying "Oh, I'm staying with FSX. Not changing to XPlane" 5 days ago, before the announcement of MicroCrap FLIGHT, people even forgot about ACES studios and about the "switching to Xplane" thing.

I hear PMDG is working on a Hip Replacement add on for it.
Yep, but be ready to pay extra for female and children's hip models!

Yeah I am already saving. They will have titanium models too I image that would be extra!Back to the bosses (Mr. TA) main post. Since we have come back from the brink, AVSIM is better than ever I must say!
