The only thing I turned up with a quick search was this:http://www.fspilotsh...products_id=854Looks very basic but better than nothing. Although, it's a popular place, perhaps there's a decent freeware? Often enough is there a really good freeware scenery for places like this :smile:Oh, there's a small demo of that scenery in the AVSIM Library that I just remembered. Along with a freeware scenery here.

Only just got back in to flight simming and Avsim after a year or so - pardon me whilst I find my feet again!

Nothing good in stock.Nothing good on the horizon.Pity, I would love to fly to YSSY or YMML myself.

I use the free VOZ 1.8 scenery for Australia. Best out there for that area, for FS9 anyway.

thanks for the replys guys,The Virtual Melbourne and CLS Sydney look ok, have tried the FS freeware scenery site. I would dearly love to see a top notch Niarobi Jomo Kenyatta as well :( a little hint for the payware scenery developers :( :biggrin:Steve.

Vista Oz creams any of the payware packages by far.

For Australia scenery - VOZ 1.8 Complete is the best there is and, in terms of Austrtalia scenery for FS9, the best there probably will be.FREE and available from here:http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/502-voz-18-complete/For full information, you can also check the manual here:http://fsfiles.org/files/VOZ_User_Guide_V180_Complete.zip

I don't normally plug any sceneries as above or below others as I believe beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I recently installed http://www.library.a...scen&DLID=87828 (Adelaide) and was pleasantly surprised. It includes animated vehicles which trundle around at steady speeds rather than hurtling or jerking around as in so many paid-for sceneries. In my opinion this one is grossly under-rated, all commendations to its author Chris Hutchings. That may be because if you have VOZ installed you have to seek out all sorts of files to disable in order to see this scenery in all its glory. (hint . . . apart from the more obvious there are several files in the Landclassscenery directory that will mess things up).John

A freeware Sydney Airport (updated Version From VOZ1.8) can be found here on avsim or @ http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/504-yssy-kingsford-smith-international/

Version 2.3 Update - http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/2408-yssy-sydney-airport-update/

Version 2.4 Update has just been released, mainly an updated AF2 file to keep up with all the current works going on out there - http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/2624-sydney-airport-update-24/

Regards

I would agree Voz is very good and, even better, it is free and probably eclipses the few items of payware available for Australia in FS9. I would also second Jim's view - the scenery now available for NZ, particularly that produced by Real NZ is excellent and in general I find myself more likely to fly there than in Australia particularly for the VFR/scenic experience.
