I was thinking of getting the Citation X but no TCAS or map display?Does anyone know if the Citation II will have the above features? I'll probably wait for that if it does.Cheers,

Thanks, Uwe. I will probably give it a try then.Cheers,Siggy

yes yes yes, great love in for the citation x, and well deserved. This is going to be one of my favorites. But how do you set the course?

Don't worry about tcas... at FL430+ you don't worry about much other traffic. :D Seriously, I am looking forward to putting the RealityXP JL2 gauges in this plane. Although, I am still figuring out how to use the systems now.

>Thanks George, but it smells like you can move your>installation only once. This may be enough, but as the>customer I don't want to carry the risk. Suspicious enough>that there is no information on that process on their web>site. Will give this a miss. You may install any a/c using this system as often as you like; as pointed out, simply keep a copy of the "key" and the "last four numbers of your cc handy" (hint: print 'em out and file 'em!)There is another method to preserve your ability to install-at-will, but I deem it unwise to mention it publicly. Simply give some thought, and you'll recognize the obvious... :)

Look on page 41 of the manual, on the bottom half of the page...There are two course/heading selectors available on the center console...Also, while in the 2d panel mode, clicking on the bottom left screw of the instrument directly above the EICAS display will cause a pop-up of the course/alt set/heading selector to appear...as CLEARLY DESCRIBED on page 2 of the manual. :)

I'll probably wait for that if it does.Although the Citation X is an advanced corporate/personal jet, the "Real Deal" doesn't have either of those systems as factory options, so why would an "accurate" model have them? With plethora of add-ons available through other vendors, why should any developer take the time to program features that are (a) available elsewhere (just as in Real Life, owner/operators can add-on TSO'd equipment) and (:( few people will actually use or appreciate?Especially given that there are some who'd trade off the nearly 100% authentic Honeywell Primus 2000 avionics suite for a nice, but certainly more generic one, there's a whole lot less incentive for a programmer to spend the months needed to develop advanced systems.Regarding the Citation II SP/2, since those systems didn't even exist when this a/c was in vogue, no TCAS or "moving map" will be present in the default model, aside from the ubiquitous "Garmin 500" that FS9 has.Now the CJ2 on the other hand, is still on the "drawing board" and may well include such features, providing some of the programming hurdles can be overcome by that time. Not having the FS9 Panels and Gauges SDK available yet is a major hinderance to the process!

"Has anyone of you moved one of their products to a new machinemore than once ?"Yep. I upgrade my hardware on a schedule... I'm replacing components regularly. I've installed the Meridian 4 times over the past 9 months (twice each in FS2K2 and FS9) without a problem. Also, I've installed the C152 3 times in FS9 without a hitch. Each of these installs were on different hardware configs and/or after fresh OS installs. They were all easy reinstalls. Just save your key and 4 digit cc code. Keep in mind that Flight1 DOES NOT keep your entire cc ID on record (for your protection)... they just use those last 4 digits to indentify the add-on as having been sold to you. It's a nice and user friendly system. While some add-on developers have forsaken customer convienence for copyright protection, Flight1 has their customers in mind with their Wrapper installers. Hope this helps,

The X still has a GPS right? I use FS2002.Can I purchase a dosk since my flight sim computer is not "on-line"?Thanks.

Which is better...LEAR 60 or Citation X?Thanks.

Could you post the relevant section of the modified Panel.cfg here (Not the whole thing of course)?Haven't really had a chance to enjoy the X yet. Still adjusting to it's little idiosyncrasies. Right now though I can say that the visual modelling is probably the best I've ever seen.

Greg, I can't believe you just asked that....

Hi Mike, Concerning the 737NG, you made an interesting statement there... "nominally 70% of the real life functionality". Can I ask how you came up with that figure? Did you count the simulated functions versus the real life functions? Just curious where you got that information because this is the first time I have seen that statistic. ThanksLuhiss
