January 30, 201214 yr I am having a problem with the expansion pack the problem I am having is that I can't get the autopilot switch to work my trim is set to okay, I reinstalled the expansion also but still have problems, but on the base package I don't have the problem. Does this need a another service pack? cause with the expansion the service pack was installed with it. Please look into this pmdg it would be appreciable . Cause I would love to fly the plane and enjoy it. Thank you and happy landings. Mohit Mahtani

January 30, 201214 yr Maybe autopilots gets active, but the light remains off? I saw some problems like this in the forums, and i also suffered it. Check if it's actually doing something.Oh, look, my 100th post!! Now i'll have two stars in under my (missing) avatar! :( Edited January 30, 201214 yr by nikita
January 30, 201214 yr Try thisEQUIPMENT Options: Realistic Autopilot Engagement: This option can be used to simplify the autopilot engagement process if desired. When set to “Realistic Engagement” the autopilot will require that the airplane is in a balanced trim condition prior to accepting a pilot command to activate. Thus, if you are holding control input in place to maintain the desired flight path, you would need to re-trim the airplane until control force is no longer required to maintain the desired flight path. Selecting “OFF” will simplify the engagement logic for those who are just learning how to fly the simulator, thus reducing your workload. If you notice the autopilot failing to take control of the airplane when you press the CMD button, refer back to this paragraph as a refresher! Phill Dant

So, let me try and see if you can be helped. As your issue like the one I posted yesterday, is related to an AP issue, do this in the sequences shown below. When you open the CDU-go to Menu-PMDG Setup-Options-Simulations.......then scroll till you get to the instructions Phill Dant has given you.I trust this does not prove too difficult or logical for you to follow, and your issue is resolved. Thus it does not require your Please look into this pmdg request in your post. Rick Almeida

February 2, 201214 yr That is rather condescending, and completely uneccessary! It is clear his first language is not English. It was not meant to come out that way because a previous post did describe how to go about it and yet he could not resolve it. If I had meant to be condescending, I would not have gone to the trouble of helping him out in a logical manner! Rick Almeida
