Oops! Plane hits pole

Well it is a Southwest plane, I'm sure the paint scratches made the hideous paint job a little better.

Just got this news in New Zealand http://nz.totaltrave...ole-at-airport/How does this happen???
How about the fact that the wing is hanging 40 feet out there and well behind the pilot. Nobody was hurt so in the end a minor error with nearly no consequence.

Branton Turner

So it doesn't happen only to A380s. I liked the comment that the pilot must have felt light-headed.

Tell that to the structures guys and techs that are gonna have to work their butts off to get that thing back on line ;). Ohh...and the bean-counters too. :(

I don't know why you guys are making a big deal about this. I do it all the time, and I have to turn off the "crash / damage" detection in order to get into the air... About the only time I don't have to do that is when I start on the active, and then there is no guarantee. :(

"I was just in a plane crash!! Seriously. The pilot hit a light pole @ Denver International Airport (DEN)."

What a drama queen.

Does this person tell their friends they were in a car accident if a rock hits their windshield.

Thanks for that prompt response, Tom.Yes, immediately after I saw the OP's post, and having watched the video, I posted with this:'Ouch. Must be embarrassing for Southwest' When I next went back to see the thread, my post had gone.Does not really matter now. It just had me wondering what had I said that could have caused offence to get deleted.

Believe me... Had a post been deleted here, I have at least two methods of confirming that. The two methods do not show that a post was deleted from this topic. Are you sure you hit the POST button? And, it is a big deal that a message like that gets deleted.
