Ah if those blind MS guys would have allowed PMDG to inject into Flight.....
They did allow it, but PMDG did not agree to the conditions

i have tried the tweak but i replace the fsx cfg file and my UT2 is messed up. in the game fsx only shows the airlines that i have downloaded ai planes for and new schedules. all the traffic that comes with the addon is not showing up.Does anybody know how to fix this. I will try my old cfg file and see if that helps.

Look that the last line is in your fsx.cfg under [MAIN]:SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\AirplanesSimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\RotorcraftSimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehiclesSimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\BoatsSimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\AnimalsSimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\MiscSimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\UT2 Aircraft

Yes, setting lo - res gauges does work. I get excellent frame rates with the NGX although I do not have any payware airports.I run FTX SP4 Australia with REX2 weather with most settings set to dense. I get 20-25 fps on the ground and over mega_shok.gif in the air (sometimes it clicks over 100fps). I do have to be careful. If the weather is full on, I do get some skeletal airframe effects approaching Sydney but the rest is fine. I am very happy with it and would never have expected to get such performance with a dual core laptop. I run the Bojotes tweaks and lo res guages and turn off all non microsoft services via MSCONFIG.All this on a laptop with a dual core 2.66cpu with;4Gban NVIDIA GT230M card and that's it.How come far superior systems do not seem to get results commensurate with their greater horsepower?GerryI don't know what the emoticon is doing in this post!
Ey' dude can you tell me how you put "low res" gauges I dont find that..thanks

Under the Start menu, find the PMDG folder, where all of the manuals are found. There should be the Performance Manager there.

It's funny, i actually get better FPS then you with a far cheaper computer with the same addon's. something isn't right, you have a Nasa computer.

Would I be right if I were to guess that you have all sliders at max?

I do have the sliders very high but not to the max. this fps problem only happens with the ngx and i only fly the md11. i have like 20 hours on the ngx so very little.

I believe that with a Nasa computer like he has, not matter how the sliders are he will get at least 20fps, doesn't he?(:

I was flying the ngx today and I was getting horrible fps and I when i fly the md11 with mcphat textures and I get really good fps but when I am in the ngx cockpit the fps are horrible. I have one of the best processors made and my full specs are in my signature. I'm not sure what to do?
Hi Liam,I assume you use the recommended settings by PMDG right? Pushing hard on the sliders to the right will kill your frame. Try reduce your traffic settings and autogen. I had to do that going from MD-11 to NGX.Regards

Hi Liam,I'd be interested to know your results from disabling hyperthreading. I did some testing some months ago when someone told me to do that and since my research that person is now recommending not to do it. I notice a 15-20% FPS drop when diabling it (I have a i7-930 so disclaimer on the different generation i7s.).If you have it on however you have to set the Afinity Mask in the CFG correctly (note. Bojotes tool doesn't fully optimise this).See this post http://forum.avsim.net/topic/241915-hyperthread-fsx-i7-and-you/ for info on how to set Affinity Mask with hyperthreading on or off.

HiI think I am behind the reality. I am not new in flight sim world but I missing one thing- FPS limiter. Can anyone tell me where can I get it and how it works? Thank you.
