Ted, I agree with you.But when people start saying things like "if the UI isn't fixed/enhanced/changed/adjusted/looks better, then I'm not getting it..." it's a little counter productive, and a tad far fetched in itself, don't you think?Sure, I don't mind if Austin decides to add nice graphics, an easier way to find airports, etc...but I would like to see the core of the UI maintained.If he doesn't add these things, then it really doesn't matter to me, and obviously to several others who are accustomed to it.Yourself included.

Basing the purchase of a whole sim or game on a UI? Come on. I would have missed out on a lot of hours in a lot of games if I had that type of mentality.If they buy it, and then suggest some improvements, but accept it in it's current form regardless, well, then we can have a discussion. It's that absolute ideal of "It's crap!! If they don't change it, I ain't getting it!" that is rather silly and pointless.The UI, in it's current form, is what it is. Simply emailing Austin or posting in the forums and saying "change it, it sucks and I'm not getting x plane because of this!" is futile.Like I said earlier, I have no problems with it. I believe I have seen some attempts to frame the debate in that way and then refute that, But I have no memory of seeing such a statement. Could you link it, or provide a quote please?

Was there some discussion of changing the programs core? So far as know, the discussion at this point was about ways to improve the experience of new users.

Just like I accept the UI of BC2, FSX, FS9, Eurofighter 2000, Flanker 2.5, etc...ad nauseam.I just don't see the point of people saying they refuse to buy x plane because of a UI. Sorry I am in the midst of a large RPG, fighting ogres and such. I have a habit of typing, thinking, erasing, thinking some more and then cleaning it all up. Unfortunately, you caught me between editing and rearranging my typed thoughts and responding to a sudden attack by enemy players! :(

You have a very annoying habit of speaking for other people. Like I said, I can't be bothered rummaging through forum posts to find something that will just get lost in the forums again and will have about as much relevance as what I had for breakfast last Monday.Honestly, is it that much of a big deal?

Hi all ! :( 5 pages about a "New UI Front for X-Plane 10", and still no detailed functional requirement ? I like the current UI Front, so what would you like to change ?Happy flying.

At least it gets more attention than a simple hardwad question. Everything turns into the same XP versus FSX discussion.

@MdMaxHm, there were actually some suggestions made earlier. Maybe not as detailed as you might have expected but I'll try to come up with something more detailed today.
