Actually, to make it more accurate, you'd also need a way to filter out the "drive by posts" such as "+1" and simple, one line replies! I don't recall just what forum software it is, but I've run into some places where posts fewer than X number of words aren't even allowed to be posted... :(

Done and being implemented throughout the forums... Necessary requirements are five letters or two words. Two words minimum in subject line.

Oh, P90X is doing wonders on lightening me up, thanks for asking...Regarding this thread, I'm just not amused, as silly things like post count, time spent online, and other trivia just bring out the worst in people online. As I've seen time and again, it's mainly kids that partake. If it was a legitimate statistical tool, the antics of leaving the tab open just soured the pot, undoing any work put into it. It's probably not that big of a deal though; however, I'm just a crusty old retired military pilot who can't see past my need for discipline and checklists for everything, I'm afraid. Enjoy your fun.

The one with the least amount of time on AVSIM and the most amount of quality posts will be the most efficient with their time. EDIT: Oh Yeah....And no creating another account so you can log in on that one to thumb up all your posts....That would be just plain silly... Cheers

I'm with you mate.I think recording time spent online is a meaningless waste of time. As you say, it just encourages a few individuals to have their 'fun', although I expect they'll tire of it eventually. Maybe Tom's banking on something more useful coming from it, but as it stands even the scrapping in the Flight forum was less futile and depressing than this.Anyway, 'congratulations' to Ben or whoever it is who's top of the league table at present... :Loser:Ian
