Hawaii scenery addons

Featured Replies

Folks - this is a sincere question. NOT trying to start a flame war!I have seen multiple folks post that Flight's scenery is not really any better than addon scenery for FSX. Can anyone tell me what addons are being refered to?Since getting the Flight beta and being impressed with the terrain, I spent some time scouring the internet for addon scenery for FSX so that I could get a similar Hawaii experience out of the more versitile FSX. I couldn't find anything but MegasceneryX Oahu and some freeware landclass for Maui, lanai, and Molokai. And what I found didn't compare to Flight (IMHO). Obviously ORBX is great, but they dont do Hawaii or anything tropical.I'm assuming I missed some stuff...?

Megascenery Oahu with Manny Mahadevan's Oahu add-ons plus a revamped Waikiki beach along with Areosofts Dillingham make Oahu much more realistic with lots of autogen and other enhancements. There are a few autogen enhancements for Maui wich do the Hotels, Harbors, Hana and Kapalua airports and most of the towns , there even a add on that does the Maui wind farms. Most of these files are free on Avsim or Flightsim.com. Add FS Dreamteams Honolulu, Lihue, Kahalui, Kona and Hilo airports along with Newports Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kauai photo scenery really makes flying Hawaii quite enjoyable.Josh West Maui Lahainaone2.jpg

If you like to "kitbash" scenery, there is some excellent, free downtown Honolulu scenery for FS2004 that can be used for FSX. Adds lot's of hotels, additional detail.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

can someone give me the links for the hotels enchantments

its on this link you don't have to own megascenery add-on just go too http://fsx.o.oo7.jp/HW.htm for default it would be the 2 file called HAWAII_X.ZIP (1.37M) (two thousand and eight. 8.28.) this is for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waikiki Honolulu, Oʻahu, in Hawaii were the city is.

Last I read SimSavvy was working on the state. I don't know if that is the case because I am not sure how business is doing over there.

I have been flying from PHNL to KLAX for a few months. I want to do some GA flights between the islands, is there any scenery available for the Hawaii Island and the other islands.
