TURBINE DUKE and PISTON DUKE Cockpit sound package now available.Just re-posting here because this has been posted inside another post and I am not to sure that most have seen this.As you can see I have added sounds to most switches inside the DUKE and covered most and it should make a little difference.Yes I know most of these sounds might not be Authentic.. Life with it.. I do not have access to a real Duke so I just added sounds as I think they might beswitchesduke-1.jpgMy Fuel Pump SWITCH sounds that I initially added, have been removed for a couple of reasons. Sorry bout that.. Maybe I can get a workaround later for these switchesPlease make sure that you use the correct version for your install. Some people are still on OLD version while most have installed latest version 1.2.there is a slight difference in the two packages as their were some differences in variables between initial release and current release.if you not sure about your version: open the aircraft.cfg file of the Turbine Duke and see first section were it will be displayed as Version 1.2

//V1.2 May 18 2011// ***************************************************************// Beechcraft Duke Turbine by RealAir Simulations (tm)

The initial release will have something like this displayed when you open the aircraft.cfg file(Note: The version 1.2 have a specific line stating it as Version 1.2- so if you dont see that it will be still initial release)

//Release Candidate 7.0 Feb27th 2011//CONVENTIONAL RUDDER STEERING VERSION// ****************************************************************// Beechcraft Duke Turbine by RealAir Simulations (tm)

DOWNLOAD FILES VERSION 1.2---------------------------------------------You can get the install files here. The Zip file contain all the files and a readme with instruction how to install.http://www.mediafire...4iwj5023n771zh4DOWNLOAD FILES OLD INITIAL RELEASE VERSION 1.0 & 1.1---------------------------------------------------------------------------------You can get the install files here. The Zip file contain all the files and a readme with instruction how to install.http://www.mediafire...7qitd0t1ae77961===============================================================================THANKS-----------Two persons need to be highlighted here because without them this would not have been possible.1) Tom Aguilo who help me a lot and who did Pioneering work in this area and for his concept that I am using.2) Doug Dawson's for his freeware Sound gauge. this surely is the most important aspect because without this little gauge we would be absolutely nowhere. Also a huge THANK YOU to the couple people who initially put up their hands to help me test. Your work and effort is highly appreciated..REQUEST-------------This is freeware, but MOST important, Please do not upload to other sites and lets respect Doug Dawsons freeware gauge rights that he shared with us by making it available to all us freeware plebs trying to make a difference.NOTE KEYPRESS RADIO / GPS SOUND LEVELS:--------------------------------------------------------------Some have reported that the key press sounds volume on radio/gps/adf/expander might be a bit low as they cannot hear it when engines run at full revs.. Well I dont think you will hear it in real life either, but if you want to you can change the sound volumes of those that you want to be louder. It is especially the radio/GPS/ADF/EXPD key press sounds that seem to be a bit soft for some. With engines at idle and in off position you should be able to clearly hear the keypress sounds.Depending on which version you isntall, the radio/GPS keypress sounds is the following wav files that you find under the following folder:FSX -> SOUND -> "DUKE_PIST_Cockpit"FSX -> SOUND -> "DUKE_TURB_Cockpit"FSX -> SOUND -> "DUKE_TURB_CockpitV10"The wave files you might be interested in to adjust..!SOFTKEYPRESSALT.wavSOFTKEYPRESSGPS.wavSOFTKEYPRESSRADIO.wavThere are a multitude of freeware programs available to increase the sound volume of these wave filesIt is freeware, so feel free to change the volumes yourself if you not happy with it.NOTE:This is freeware and have been test by a number of people and was found to be working 100% on FSX acceleration. I cannot vouch for other FSX versions..The readme file give proper install instructions..!

Bliksimpie, I'm glad you set up a separate thread for this as I wasn't aware of it before. You did a fabulous job creating this sound package! Even though you didn't have access to the actual sounds, they all sound very convincing and believable; and that really adds to the overall immersion and experience of the addon. Thanks so much for putting this together.

Thank you VERY MUCH Sir ! :(

Just tested:Download on mediafire work 100%Reinstalled from mediafire downloaded fileDuke Piston started in FSX.All Working 100%Sorry cant do much for you going on the limited info you supplied .Send me PM and tell me in more detail what the problem is you are encountering and I might be able to help you but "it is corrupt" is a bit vagueThe other alternative is to try and re-download and to follow the install steps step by step. While testing I found a typing error in the install instructions===============================================================Correct Install instructions for readme file: PISTON DUKE----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1) open the folder "Add the cab file inside to panel folder of DUKE turbine" Copy and paste the cab file called "Duke_Cockpit_Sounds_PIST.cab" into the PANEL folder of the PISTON Duke2) Open the folder "Add the file inside this folder to FSX gauges folder" Copy and paste the gauge file "DUKE_Cockpit_sounds_PIST.gau" into the FSX Gauges folder3) Open the folder "Add the folder inside this folder to FSX Sound Folder" Copy and paste the folder "DUKE_PIST_Cockpit" and all its contents into the FSX SOUND folder4) Open the panel folder of the PISTON Duke Find File called "Panel.cfg" Make sure you have a backup of this file incase you mess up.Open the Panel.cfg file with notepadScroll down to section [VCockpit01]add the following 2 lines after the last gauge entrygauge25=DUKE_Cockpit_sounds_PIST!Sound, 2,2,2,2,./sound/DUKE_PIST_Cockpit/DUKE_PIST_sound.inigauge26=Duke_Cockpit_Sounds_PIST!DUKE_PIST_SoundManager, 3,3,3,3SAVE the panel.cfg fileStart FSX.All should be 100%

No problem, now : I downloaded the zip file on Avsim and everything seems fine. With the first package downloaded on Mediafire, I had only another zip in the zip, and another one, and another one... No idea of what could have happened...Anyway, many thanks and congratulations for this very well done sound pack !Henri R

Hi Just to say that I also got the 'corrupted file' when trying to open the PISTON version package, from the above link :(In my experience, the Mediafire upload process often corrupts files.....Of to try and grab the version in the library here :(
