So I've completed the stearman acrobatics training mission but can't do the next one untill I reach level 6?I thought once you'd completed one mission you moved on to the next, but it appears that there are levels to reach in addition. So how does one get to level 6?

You need to look at the map, you will see things you need to do to progess to next levels. Once you complete say for example Stearman landing challenge 3, then Stearman Landing Challenge 4 will show up on your map - least that is the best I recall. The only missions that are required to move on, are the first to introductory missions.

The levels have to do with the XP and not with 'the next mission'. You earn XP for almost everything you do in MS Flight. Simply completing a mission numbered 3 won't necessarily give you acces to the mission numbered 4. Sometimes it does, and sometimes not. Various missions have various requirements. Just keep completing other missions and things to bring your XP-level up! Keep in mind that the 'next level' is something else then the 'next mission'!BTW You can redo missions and still get XP! So if you really need some XP and know a mission that's easy to do and gives a lot of XP, do it a few times. Just a tip. Not something I would do because I don't like to repeat missions, at least not in a row just to get some reward.

Just for clarification, I think you may be referring more to " challenges" rather than "missions", they are two different categories...

Ah, could well be... I have problems keeping them apart...

IF you do a landing challenge you get 1500 XP but each coin is 200 or 500 Xp. It doesn't seem fare since I really don't like the coins chase.

Need a bunch of points - go find a few waterfalls on Kauai. I started out looking for a 'swamp' last night and found three 5-star waterfalls before stumbling over the swamp. Do a little sightseeing as you are visiting a new island. Lots of aerocache opportunities pop up.Llv_17Ray

I used the Stearman. Fly slow, start low, just above the creek water and follow the steam up the mountain. Pick one of the falls until you are successful. I smashed into the hilliside a few times also, but, I got them all. Just be ready to add power to climb as needed.Ray

Sometimes... you just need to find a nice flat spot nearby, land and park, and get out and hoof it over to the cache... Saves some wear and tear on the ole wingtips and prop...

I collected an aerocache near a waterfall by landing at the shore and walking all the way up to the waterfall. Took a few minutes, but it wasn't bad... almost funny, really!
