Boeing 757 for FSX?

Featured Replies

I got the QW 757 today and I love it!! The visual model is awesome and when combined with the UHDT liveries it looks suburb! The sounds are music to my hears and the VC is good but no NGX! The FDE is very realistic and the FPS are suburb! I have attached an image of my first flight in this fine bird. I had a few teething issues with the FMC as I had NGX Fever but all sorted and everything is working. The value for money is great and it is a nice break from the NGX! It is a must have for any Boeing fan!2220739_orig.jpgThanks all for your input and advice.Aaron G.

Just remember quality wings doesn't model operations accurately. For example There's no need to initialize the IRS, or you start the engines with both run control on. So if proper procedures is important to you then your better off with the CS757.

Thanks

Yes indeed but I think we can all sacrifice some complexity for the sake of an overall better product which gives us more bang for our buck. I get around 2.3x better FPS in the QW757 than in th CS767.Aaron G.

Yeah, but many of CS systems are not working like real ones either, though not as simplified as QW.In my opinion main thing which makes QW to get my vote is flight dynamics. It just feels more like real airplane to fly.

LevelD is making the 757.
And has been making for years. Who knows when it will come...

I have both 757s, both fly very very good (if you're using latest CS patch that fixes a LOT of issues), but to me the QW version is a bit above the CS, overall. Yes, it doesn't have all the systems modelled which is a shame on such a great A/C, but the experience is much better. And the sound... ohhhhhhh the sound *drool* :)

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

I think the sound in both the QW and CS 757 is the same as their respective FS9 versions, with no FSX enhancement or cones.A while back I plumped for the IRiS AudioWorx 757 RR sound pack for FSX which is better (to my ears) and quite inexpensive.

Aaron,"Do you find the QW757 a good purchase?"Well, let me say this based on my first few hours ....W757 is "very" nice, I like it alot. The product download and installation was quick and error free.QW757 works with your FS9 and FSX 2D and VC.QW livery manager: Installs liveries, lets you select panel types and lets you adjust the loads/Cargo-Px/zero fuel weight.QW Control Panel is nice foe selecting ground power, open doors, EADI/F/D type, set chocks and QWPAAS.Great models.Great sounds.Great textures.Cabin crew announcements are a real plus.Frist officer is right on and "sounds" professional.I like the 2D views (2 monitors) / Simicon selections.VC is great with very good frame rates (I use it in cruise).TrackIr works with it.Ezdok works with it.My FSUIPC (registered) profile (for TwinJets) immediately hooked up my Saitek throttles/reversers/buttons, Saitek yoke/buttons and CH pedals with all buttons/axes/assignments working in less than a minute. My purchase included their SP2.Per the QW forum Sp3 is in the works and will have some more nice additions. And, QW757 "handles" (flies) nicely. After posting I could not go back and "edit" my post.I had the same problem yesterday.Maybe because their forum is getting updated. My last post is missing a Q in QW.Should read:QW757 is "very" nice, I like it alot.
