Boeing 757 for FSX?

Featured Replies

Does Quality Wings 757 get better fps than Captain Sim's. I have Captain Sim's and although I can run it pretty well on my rig it slow's to around 9-14 fps when flying in or out of Imagine Sims Klga with Manhatten X and GEX UTX REX (let's say I love my eye candy and don't want to get rid of it). I can fly most other planes to or from there without much issue but I got a thing for that 757 that's why I want to know if QW has better frames because if so I'd really consider it.And I also know that New York is demanding but that Visual river approach with the hard right over Central Park is awesome and I'm quite addicted to it so I just can't stay away from NYC. I would love to fly 757's there more but like I said CS's is kind of demanding on it's own let alone NYC.

cm19: the QW bird is quite a bit easier on the frame rate than the CS one, IMO.

Is the QW FDE is realistic?Aaron G.
No. I have used the CS and QW 757. Both FDE's feel bizzare and the engines seem to have very strange behavior at low thrust levels. The autopilot is horrible in both aircraft and can hardly even keep the aircraft on a proper ILS approach.Maybe wait for the LevelD 757? :(

Thanks RudiJG1

Go have fun with it Aaron. You won't regret the purchase. Even if you do get any problems, the QW team are usually super fast at responding to questions on their support forum.EDIT: Hey Ernie, I'll claim commission later :(
I got the QW 757 today and I love it!! The visual model is awesome and when combined with the UHDT liveries it looks suburb! The sounds are music to my hears and the VC is good but no NGX! The FDE is very realistic and the FPS are suburb! I have attached an image of my first flight in this fine bird. I had a few teething issues with the FMC as I had NGX Fever but all sorted and everything is working. The value for money is great and it is a nice break from the NGX! It is a must have for any Boeing fan!2220739_orig.jpgThanks all for your input and advice.Aaron G.

Pretty much from what I've noticed flying their 757 in FSX. I've recently had some simulator time in a "real" 757 simulator (for work not play sadly!) and I find the QW model handling pretty accurate for a piece of PC software.Sounds are fantastic as well!Adam

Absolutely love the QW 757, they did a great job. Pretty good support too.I've also been using it as a sort of stepping stone, so that when I get the PMDG 747 or NGX I'm not completely floored by all of the systems haha

I think a real life 757 pilot tested the QW757. Correct me if I'm wrong.I uninstalled the CaptainSim 757 when I installed QualityWings 757 for FSX. :(

I really enjoy the Quality Wings 757.Some of the things I like; great looking VC, excellent soundset and the exterior and liveries are top notch.
