FYI, you can already fly "between DLC zones". You can fly all the way around the world and back as long as you have the fuel. Its just the ground resolution looks like crap.

I heard this. I also heard that Alaska and Hawaii may be "joined" by a particular DLC on its' way..of course it was only a rumour; I know nothing, as Manuel used to say in Fawlty Towersbestjake

The distance between Alaska and Hawaii is rather VAST. It would take a rather big jet to make that crossing, and a LOT of time. I dont see it happening any time soon. I could be wrong, and wont be the first time, but in the recent interview Josh said that big jets are not the desired path for the current users. Maybe a private jet could do it? Thats one mission I would "skip to waypoint" on for sure!

Honestly the difference between autopilot and skip to next waypoint kind of escapes me.............

Time. It changes a 5 hour flight into a 5 min flight. Not everyone has the time to let there computer play for hours on end.

IMHO without TrackIR support, no other improvement really matters.

Oh, but just imagine the experiance points.... Naw, really I would be hitting the "N" key also. I can handle a regional flight, but long distance in a heavy, I get bored and fall asleep well before I am anywhere close to TOD.

LOL at the zero votes for leaderboards - especially when Joshua Howard said they may put that in...Leaderboards... who cares?

People are very competitive. One of the problems with fsx (and soon xp10) for just regular folks was that you were more often than not soon left alone in that big world with no goals. Nothing to aim for except perhaps better understanding of instruments and procedures. For a selected minority that was sufficient, but to the vast majority, boredom set in and shortly thereafter the title was usually shelved.Even for the minority, a steady diet of new experiences relevant to that niche were required to retain interest.

Even when I play competitive games, I don't care about leaderboards. Putting leaderboards in a noncompetitive game? Really? What will they show? Who can make the most passengers puke?Actually, that one might be fun.

Yeah, that's kind of what I meant. But I have seen posts intimating that skipping ahead was sort of cheating, and I never really understood the reasoning behind that.A difference that makes no difference, makes no difference.........

The votes for autopilot must be in direct correlation with the votes for flying between dlc zones.I would not mind seeing autopilot someday, but when there are really long distances we can fly - I currently cannot think of a flight I could do in Hawaii where I felt the need to use an autopilot.
