Enjoy long haul flights?

Featured Replies

The solution to wanting short hauls in big planes is to fly in Japan. Passenger traffic is so high they repeatedly fill up 747s and 777s for 1.5-2.0 hour flights.

Yep their 747's were modified for shorthauls, the domestic 744's had their winglets removed.

A<380 love at first flight

I usually do the flight in one shut, in real time! So I won't do a long haul flight unless I know I will be near my house for longer periods of time!

But then I guess I enjoy more shorter flights! They are more fun to me!

I did EHAM - KLAX or EHAM - OMDB... but if it's me I'd also like 500 sometimes 800 nm max. Medium-Long flights are fine with me. Really with 737NGX :D

Once did PHNL - YSSY overnight and lost power at T/D."That.. sucks.. I'm not going to scream... BUT I'M GOING TO HUNT DOWN THE **** WHO CUT THE POWER OFF!!" :( :( :( B);)Flew it all over again... NOT fun.

LOL! I've attempted to do EGLL-KBOS twice in the LDS 763, somehow my FSX froze both times! I'm saving my flights every ten minutes I'm on these days ha! Shame when you save via FSX with the 767 it doesn't save your panel state etc like the NGX. Which is the main reason I stopped flying the aircraft :(

When I fly longhauls, most of the time I`m not even at the controls! I`m either at school for the day or out with friends. Personally longhaul suits me the best, especially because I`m at a virtual airline and I`m just constantly getting credits while I`m out getting on ;)

Personally I do not enjoy long haul. Medium haul (max 5 hour) is ideal. Still waiting for that A333. In the mean time the Lufthansa Cargo MD-11 is just foooiiiiinnnneee for that.

As far as maintaining realism goes, attempting to operate a commercial airliner by yourself is a failure right from the get-go. And staying with a long haul flight for the duration is something even commercial pilots don't do. Cut yourselves some slack... ;)

If you are flying the Level D it's easy to export the panel state and then import it when you are ready to continue the flight. The options are under the FSX menu bar, Every parameter is saved perfectly including your FMC details.
