Amazing detail!

It's crazy to think that developers have achieved this level of sophistication on products that the outside world would consider a "toy". Looks like FSL did the work and put in the hours! If the A320 is anything like the Concorde X we have an instant classic on the horizon.

A definite buy!

If the A320 is anything like the Concorde X we have an instant classic on the horizon.

We’ve come a long way since Concorde-X :)

The fuel system on Concorde-X was quite a challenge given the thirteen fuel tanks the aircraft has; simulating the various modes of fuel transfer, plus the de-aeration of the fuel tanks and pump cavitation models that we implemented.

But what we’ve done on the FSL A320-X exceeds the system fidelity found on our Concorde aircraft product. We’ve designed and implemented a ‘liquid’ model simulation that we use - it can actually simulate compressed air, fuel and hydraulic liquid. When integrated with our aircraft systems, for example, the fuel system - the aircraft has a new sense of life. The temperatures and pressures throughout the system react to external forces, propagating through the system just as they do on the real aircraft. For example, you can fuel the aircraft on a cold morning and, if the tanks are full, the fuel will expand and spill into the wing tip surge tanks as the aircraft heats up through the day.

This is the level of fidelity you can expect on our A320-X - we won’t be labeling it as ‘Professional’, ‘Extended’ or ‘Extreme’ - it’ll just be one version, that simulates the systems found on the A320 faithfully in FSX.

Coincidental dev post on the day some BB (PSS) Airbus news got posted. ^_^ Tight business that is. :P However, great news on the detail level and target audience. Keep them coming.

Superb, news, Andrew, especially your closing line. Now, that is upfront straight-from-the-horse's-mouth.
