It looks great imo. Far better looking than the B767

I never said it's ugly, mind you, only that it's very...airplane looking; a cylinder with triangle wings and two engines. Even the B737 has more character. I'll definitely agree that it's better looking than the B767, although again, the B767 looks less generic.

Thanks,

Can't say I agree. I find the 767 to be the best looking of Western built aircraft flying at this moment. To me, it's a plane that's perfectly in proportion. I always disliked Airbus aircraft because they looked either too big, too small, too thin, too this or that. In recent weeks I've started appreciating the A300 form factor (including A330 and A340) however, and started liking it (same with the MD-11), although I stick by the 767: I still find it the best looking Western aircraft that I have set my eyes on. I also still find that overall, Airbus aircraft are nice to fly (in the sim), but not very good looking. In all honesty though, it's the Tu-154 and Il-86 that I find the most beautiful planes. Something about Russian aircraft just "looks right" in my eyes. Western aircraft don't normally have that. This is a discussion that could go on for eternity of course... How did that Roman saying go again...?Even though I'm not a fan of Airbus looks, I am a fan of piloting an Airbus. As such, I am looking forward to the FSL A320 and will get it the moment it comes out. I agree here with others: I'd rather have FSL say "It's coming, but we don't know when" and showing us some screenshots and up[dates here and there, then saying "It will be released then and there", followed by "Whoops, sorry!"

The A330 is the most generic looking airliner in the skies.
In my opinion B767 and B777 are by far the most generic looking ones with boringly shaped fuselage with really no individual shapes. A330 has nice wingbox, and nose just like A300, A310 and A340 have too. I like it really much. B777 has nice engines though, but not much else.Of course whats inside and its performance is all that matters.

Lets not turn this into a pee'ing contest chaps, We NEED all the major airliners in FSX.

You've got a point. However, instead of doing aircraft that many developers have done, even if it has 15 extra pixels, I'd like to see aircraft no one has done, such as the B717, DC-8, Dash-8-100/200, and a CRJ-200 (that wasn't ported from FS2002).

Thanks,

NO ONE has done a Hi Fidelity A320... Ever...The A320 from FSL will be the first one.

That depends on what you mean. The Wilco one has quite well done systems, while say, the PA, or Aerosoft ones are good models. Combine the Wilco panel and systems with the PA model, and you get a pretty hi fidelity simulation. I'm sure the FSL will be better, but I'd rather see an aircraft that has not been done at all.

Thanks,

There has never been a high fidelity, realistic A320 for FS in which the systems have been properly modeled. If FSL pull it off, it will certainly be the first.Al

Great news on the A320. Might arrive just in time before my real A320 type rating starts!Looking very much forward to 'both'......

Why has this topic on the FSL A320 become a slanging match about the PMDG 747 ?They're all good! Some are old, but still great. I have a 1 year old Volvo but I still love my 1973 Alfa !

Well said, although that Alfa's a mere whippersnapper greenhorn of a car compared to my 1960 Morris Minor! Still going strong after 52 years.Al
