April 2, 201214 yr now you have my email address you can call me phil Roger then, Phil. I do appreciate how you people add to the experience here, tho. It seems that I again spent the entire night on Avsim, FSX and Flight and now I must get busy with RL as the sun is rising. I see a nap in my future. Thanks again and g'night.
April 2, 201214 yr Author let me have another look right now well, bob. I have to admit that I do not know how I added that gamertag to my profile. I can access my profile (luckily the name is back to DAD now, thanks to the mod who fixed that!) and I see the member title but cannot find where to edit that. could be though that with one of the recent forum software updates they took away the possibility to change that part. but if anything fails, you can always add the gamertag to your signature. all the best and have a great day in RL, phil Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

April 2, 201214 yr One of the people on my friends list found a storm with 96kt winds during the Isolated Thunderstorms weather set. The winds got stuck on that, so he found an airport with a runway in the right direction and filmed this:
April 2, 201214 yr A way to achieve the backwards achievement it to load the Maule Challenge 6 Fly Left, heading 250 (a couple minutes) Descend to around 12,900 ft Right Turn to a heading of 70 so wind is directly against you. (Head on) Keep power at 100%, apply Full Flaps, approach speed will be around 68-75 kts. You can Land on the small plateau below the observatory. Once over the plateau and around 10-15 ft AGL reduce power until you are flying backwards. (TD speed aprox. 55-58 kts) You can get the Gold on that challange before or later at the concrete pad. Edit Update: Azure, thanks for the link; Watched the video. Wingman Tingly, Wow. That is some serious flying. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

April 2, 201214 yr Hmm -- I know there are some permission settings in the works right now so that's probably why. I'd say give it some time and Tom will have the kinks ironed out. April 2, 201214 yr I also picked this one up due to a glitch. I was warping around checking out airports while I was making my quick guide. I spawned at the wrong end of the runway at Princeville to see the facilities, so I took off and flew low over the buildings, then put the Icon into a stall. Right after it began falling back down, I went to the map and warped to the next airport (Barking Sands, in this case). When I appeared on the ground on the next runway, I got the achievement.
April 2, 201214 yr Author only got 30 XP? You mean 30000? no, 30XP. these are different achievements. if you look at your profile you see awards and achievements. achievements have something to do with your live account, they are much less than the usual XP though they are also called XP. see here a list with all (known) achievements: http://aerocache.com/?page_id=556 Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
