April 2, 201214 yr Hi Mark. No, I don't miss it at all. I retired from commercial flying almost 5 years ago and pro flight simulation became my new interest. I love desktop flight simulation and see MS Flight as something new and refreshing. It is very stable and so nice to fly in. My time now is is taken up with Pro flight simulation at work ( 737NG level-d sim ) and teaching/instructing. At home it's mostly Flight and sometimes the NGX in FSX. I am very excited by the advancements in desktop simulation. I have really enjoyed being a beta tester in Flight. Have learned a lot about small aircraft and I have enjoyed the change too. Looking forward to what the furure holds. Fred. Frederic Steiner.

April 2, 201214 yr I thought there were toe brakes on MS Flight. In the Manual it states: Brakes: Both X Brake: Right C Brake: Left Z http://download.microsoft.com/download/C/8/B/C8B261A6-CB18-4231-9DA8-545AFFC53D72/MS-Flight-Manual-EN.pdf https://microsoftflight.com/en-us/handbook/ www.stratoart.com Fine Art by Dale Jackson "Oh! April 2, 201214 yr I thought there were toe brakes on MS Flight. They are referring to toe brakes not being supported on physical rudder controllers. I personally have differential brakes mapped to the twist axis on my stick since I don't have a set of rudder pedals. With regards to what the patch does improve, the Fair Weather setting is much nicer looking now, as is the entire landscape with the smaller culling value.
April 2, 201214 yr Still no working toe brakes and TIR support? Nope. I am not surpised on Track IR, obviously will take them a little time to implement. First thing I did after the update was take a look at the Flight.cfg file to see if there were any entries in there related to it. Hopefully, it is on their road map to implement at some stage. Toe brake axis support on the other hand, I would have thought they could have implented that easily enough - who knows. I do not have toe brakes on my pedals, but would sure like to see it added for the folks that do. Maybe the next update... I currently have left and right brake assigned to a hat on my throttle. April 2, 201214 yr Users can now override settings in Flight.cfg by setting Custom=1 under section [Configuration] That's good news Free mind, young attitude.

This would be good to know as I was really contemplating on getting the Saitek rudder pedals and yoke. www.stratoart.com Fine Art by Dale Jackson "Oh! April 2, 201214 yr I'd love to know what this part of the update does: 'P-51 name now shows properly in German' I'd like to think it yells 'Achtung Franz, Jagers!, Amerikanische Indianer!' at you over the intercom in a cod German accent of the kind you get in bad war movies. April 2, 201214 yr I sincerely hope they also add the TrackIR support. Use your powers of persuasion Ramon - you can do it, I know you can!! This sim absolutely just begs - cries out - for Track IR! Don B
April 2, 201214 yr Yeah I really long for TrackIR support. I have TrackIR 5 and love it! www.stratoart.com Fine Art by Dale Jackson "Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings..." High Flight by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
April 2, 201214 yr Yeah I really long for TrackIR support. I have TrackIR 5 and love it! I just received last week, my new Track IR5 to replace my current Track IR4. I have not hooked it up yet, but am looking forward to hooking it up and giving it a try. I know the difference is not all that large, but like to have the latest in the hardware. Don B
