We're pleased to announce that the first title update for Flight is now available. You will be prompted to install the update the next time you launch Flight and log into LIVE. Once the update is downloaded in-game, simply close flight and then the update will patch the game once it has closed. Here is a list of changes and bug fixes we have implemented in this update:

XP Grinder achievement Fixed

All users who have reached the 500,000 XP required will be awarded this achievement upon next log-in after update

Additional achievements now awarding properly if user is level 20 rather than upon the following log-in

Control and Gameplay Updates

Decreased the amount of trim with each button press on controllers and joysticks, much easier to fine tune glide slope and flight path

Improved the ability to make small adjustments in flight with Joystick and Xbox Controllers through non-linear mapping

Multiplayer host changing weather will no longer affect other users in missions that have specific weather settings

Crashing the aircraft while in the cinematic camera no longer causes random effects

Stability Fixes

Crash when using ALT+TAB during Sign-in

Crash when signing in during intro video

Game became unresponsive if network connectivity lost

Crash when changing GFWL presence info

UI Fixes

P-51 name now shows properly in German

Aircraft and Region description text now show in the installed language of the game regardless of LIVE profile language settings

Name of different aircraft variations now displays properly

In-game DLC offer information downloads and appears much faster

Added appropriate ratings for CERO and GRB

Graphics and Settings

Game will now better adjust and set the default graphic settings on high-end PC’s

Users can now override settings in Flight.cfg by setting Custom=1 under section [Configuration]

Thanks for the heads up and posting Ramon.

I have to say, that is one of the nice things with this current ecosystem for Flight - how quickly they can push out an update.

Not really, still to quickly and sensitive.

Whats that?

Great stuff. I just did a quick takeoff and landing to try out the update, and I must say, Flight feels even smoother than before! Its great, a lot less jerky. It felt a lot more natural. (I use a 360 controller if that matters)

Custom cfgs is about the only good thing in that update

ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD /  2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors

Jeez.. so ungrateful. They fixed a good amount of bugs. What about this free update displeased you?

So far I am most impressed by the change to the joystick sensitivity with this update - much smoother now for me. I had tweaked my standard.xml file for my controller to get it as smooth as I could, the update reset the standard.xml to default value, and now I do not find the need to tweak it in regards to joystick sensitivity. In fact it is even smoother now, than what I had as a result from my previously tweaked file.

The first bug report that I filed during the beta testing was the need to implement a non-linear response curve.

I'm glad that they finally added this feature, as it does indeed solve my joystick sensitivity issues.

It adds nothing of value to me? And I take back about custom configs..Changing anything is useless and you still can't force hardware AA and AF to rid of the shimmery textures. It's bug fixes that never affected me in the first place, otherwise nothing of value was lost.. Still no toe brake axis.. I mean it's an axis.. They were already messing with controls in the first place and this simple thing is still missing..

Indeed. That is the most important part of this update.

Do we have toebrakes now?

Hey Guys,

I like the nonlinear control response... much more natural. However, I did notice that the AxNull statements are reset back to the original value. My CH Combatstick does zero properly and does not wander. I like to reduce the Null value to .05 or lower. I was running with .03 before the update. For me, this was really important trying to fly the Maule at slow speeds and two notches of flaps into those narrow backwoods fields. There was way too much deadzone which resulted in jerky left and right aileron movement.

The clouds all lined up in a row (fair weather) has been fixed also. Much better !

Have noticed that the credits have changed a bit too !

RYR738, if I recall right and I may be wrong, you are or were a real 737 pilot.

Don't you miss the adrenaline of your great job focusing on this cosmetic patch ?
