We actually just leased a lot of ATR-72's and ATR-42's and I will be a captain in 3 months. We are under staffed by 60 pilots right now and there are only around 60 in the group now. Chris Miller
April 5, 201214 yr That is awesome Chris. One of my favourite airliners is that one right there. DHC-8-100 comes from a great factory with a lot of history, from the Beaver, to the Otter, to the Twin Otter, Dash 7's and Dash 8's. A great linage of aircraft. April 10, 201214 yr It's all the same except you can have more fun flying sims! Really? I don't think it's that much fun... Oh well, off to practice my low-pass barrel roll in an A380 now... Hahaha, that's true in some ways, but the feeling of actually being up there.... it's just... wow. My goal has always been to work for Boeing, and at age 11 I wrote in a letter basically saying "When I come to you when I'm 25, remember me! I'm the one that wrote this!" But now, I actually have a chance to join the Cathay Junior Pilot program which basically puts you in college to learn to fly, and it's becoming a very, very real situation that could occur, and frankly, I'd take that over a simulator any day. You're a lucky person, a very, very lucky person!!
April 10, 201214 yr Author Cathay is a great place to be. There are a few people who went to my college that are there now flying 747's. Work hard and remember to play hard as well so you don't get stressed and you can make it to the top in no time. Chris Miller
