Sorry Bryan, I never knew that one. I hope Rick reads your Post.

Hi Julian and Bryan. Just reading. Sorry I am a bit late on the marker as I've been trying to act as link to our Channel 4 whose investigative foreign correspondent Jonathan Miller has just been deported from Bahrain for revealing more than other parties with vested interests in what passes for an F1 charade want the world to know. Sadly, BA left him stranded there.

Hi Bryan and Julian

Thanks for that h/u----just tested, it did the trick. Now, I was aware when PMDG released the first SP that Ryan had advocated deleting those *.ini files, etc but did not think that FS2Crew would get affected, and yes, they were 3rd party repaints. Boy, this game is sure a learning curve at times.

The world has gone mad Rick. Also What Bryan Just posted does not effect what I posted, Bryan was referring to 737 options ini, which you don't touch, it is the FMC/Livery ini files I was refering to.

Hi.

I read this post with interest as I too get the SDK error and had tried so many things to fix but could not so I stopped using FS2Crew.

So after reading this I might be able to fix it! But I was hoping to undersatnd what I need to as I am not quite sure of the correct course of action.

I have 3rd party liveries and older PMDG NGX liveries pre SP1C installed but they are after SP1 not pre SP1

Is this right?

1 Delete options.ini files from FSX/PMDG/737NGX/aircraft folder

2 Let it get rebuilt

3 Add the line

[sDK]

EnableDataBroadcast=1

or should I do this instead??

1 uninstall FS2Crew

2 then reiantall the NGX and repaints

3 and then re install FS2Creww???

 I am confused by reading the posts as there seems to be 2 couse of actions advised?

Keithy George

Keith,

1: Correct. Delete livery options.

2: Correct, let it rebuild a new one. ( you will need to set up your options via the FMC, but that is easy.

3: INGNORE That was a mis understanding due to similar file names DO NOT DELETE 737options.ini

Only reinstall if above does not work.

Julian, if there was such thing a nominations for the Best Assistance et al, I'd surely nominate you. You, Al(Chock), CoolP, etc are cut from the same cloth. This forum would be a lot poorer without you guys.

BTW, spot-on advice to Keith.

Thank you Rick. It was a pleasure to help. :drinks:

I'm having this SDK issue as well right now. Deleting the livery .ini is what fixed it for me.

Eric Thornton

Where do I find the livery.ini because iv done everything said above and im still getting problems with SDK error, I reinstall and it works once and then every other time after that I get an SDK error.

Any help?

Your_FSX/PMDG/737NGX/aircraft folder. Not the simbuilds/aircraft folder.

Check also that there is no livery.ini file in the texture folder of the livery you have installed. For example, Jet2 livery would have an ini file called G-DFC.ini

All livery ini files begin with the respective reg numbers, so look for that. Any further help, just come back. And maybe Bryan can help you dig deeper
