Featured Replies

I am a proud owner of the PMDG 737NG series and all I can say is WOW! Its worth every last cent! I've noticed many NON-PMDG NG customers whinging about the prices! and don't be fooled buy there whinging! They have no idea kinda what quality there missing out on! If your thinking about buying it then do! You will nor regret such a value packed addon! Nothing out there today even comes halfway to the PMDG737 quality. You will notice one thing about these price whinges. And that is there non customers! If they where customer they would see and value the quality purchased! When PMDG release there 747-400 I will not hesitate handing over the $$ regardless of cost as I know it's well priced and worth every last cent!Petehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

again with the "unfair". :-roll I'll give it one more go here. If you feel that the price is too high (I choose not to get all emotional about these things) you have the ultimate power to not buy it. I've made that same decision. However, I don't feel the price is really too high for what you get, I just don't have the money to buy it right now. I have purchased several planes at the $25 pricepoint over the past few months and it sounds to me like these PMDG models are enourmously more complex and involved so I can understand the higher cost. Not only are they more complicated machines to model, but they require more documentation which takes time to produce and they likely require more customer support. All that is costly to a developer so the fact that you have to spend $62 to get these four models doesn't seem out of line to me at all really.

Could you tell me what kind of product this is and what do you get that makes it worth buying?

It's quite simply the most realistic simulation of a modern airliner that you can get outside of FAA approved training aids or a full blown Level-D simulator. There's almost nothing that you can do in the real 737NG that you can't do with the PMDG model. You even get a myriad of customer options for the displays and systems and can set it up to replicate the way your favorite airline has their's set up. Absolutely worth every penny for someone who cares about attention to detail and true to life operations (and yes, I bought the 600/700 before I became a tester)

Hey, what's all the fuss about? The prevailing opinion is that the PMDG 737 is a great product. Now, there is angst over the price. That happens a lot, and that is why some of us don't own all we would like to. Life's a bicch, then you die.If PMDG has priced itself out of the market, they will know before long. Meanwhile, there are lots of alternatives out there. I will not go for the PMDG 737 now because I am happy with other great products that essentially scratch the same itches. I may go for it in the future, though, unless the reviews are bad.Meanwhile, I am very happy with the PMDG B1900D. If that airplane is representative of PMDG's products, I am a potential customer for whatever else they have. Who knows what lurks in the hearts and wallets of consumers, especially flight sim consumers?

Reviews, bad for the PMDG 737 Series?ROFLMAO!

Whinging...(USA version = Whining.)This is about value. Not price. I feel the folks at PMDG are deserving of the price of their product.I own both the SF.260 and the B1900. I myself cant afford to choosethis product at this price point for a recreational activity that I take very seriously, but not as seriously as paying for other things in my life. Thats a value choice on my end...not PMDG's. PMDG has my respect. I would choose to purchase this product at a lower price where its value is relative to the importance I place on my hobby. (great, but not overriding household expenses.)I feel there are a great number of us out there that fit this category. The elasticity of the market will determine whether PMDG chose the correct pricing of this product or not. Perhaps they hit it just right. However I am fairly certain that the potential customer base is larger than the current one.Eric

word. I flew the whole weekend 2 flights in a row per day--hub hopping style. I'm pretty tired now though. Lots of work.

"Meanwhile, I am very happy with the PMDG B1900D. If that airplane is representative of PMDG's products, I am a potential customer for whatever else they have. Who knows what lurks in the hearts and wallets of consumers, especially flight sim consumers?"Good to hear from another fellow 1900D customer... One thing I love about the 1900D's 2-d panel is I can drag it down vs. shifting my eyepoint down, and get a good landing view while still have all the essentials on the panel. It's also the best flying T-prop I've flown in MSFS.... I've flown in the 1900D a lot for business, and I enjoy the PMDG version just the same. I'm not into the ultra realism the NG series offers--I got too much work to do in my day job :) But legions of fans here makes me believe that regardless of price, those who buy it will feel they have their money's worth...My only concern about higher prices in general--will our investments be lost if the next MSFS retires compatibility with the current mdl, gauge and FDE formats? For that reason, I've been limiting my payware purchases of late...Also, both sides need to quit the bashing. I'm tired of ppl who express a concern over prices being marked as "whiners". It's a fair concern--and if anyone here wants to debate the consequence of price complacency, just look at our gas prices stateside. Oil companies have been taking advantage of news bytes, and even today it's reported they are reaping record profits. Without those called "whiners", gas could easily be $3-4 a gallon. On the other side, those praising PMDG (myself included) should not be marked as sellouts. They've earned their praise...-John

I own the 700/600 package but I'm not paying another $23 for an upgrade resulting in an add-on that costs more than the sim itself!Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."

That is 1 aircraft in 4 different variants. Whereas the 800 and such is the stretch really. What you get is fixes for the poor optimizations done for the 600/700 and more function in the avionics.Especially the optimizations should be available for free for 600/700 owners just like performance fixes for other games are always free. You only pay for new content and even that is often for free in other game genres for those who own the core product. That said Precisionmanuals sure know how to milk a cow. I will probably end up buying the 800/900 just to get reasonable performance out of my 600/700. Since if I wait the add on will get even more expensive and according to Precision manuals there will never be a fix for the poor performance of the 600/700.Though great it shouldn
