Forum Purge Coming

FORUM PURGE COMING

There are a number of forums that have not seen activity in considerable amounts of time. So, we are going to do some spring cleaning. Over the next day or two, we will be pruning those forums that in our opinion are very much dead, or dying. Some we may just want to put out of their misery... Staff have suggested more than a couple in that category... So, if you start to see forums disappear over the next 24 hours or so, you will know what. We will remove this notice Sunday morning.

If it turns out that the Flight forum is among these, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has participated and made Flight better for all of us.

There was a suggestion or two to that effect, but it's staying... :clapping:

It's not!

Things are coming along nicely here right now! Tom is referring to dead forums where there is little to no participation or traffic. No worries.

Kind regards,

Edit: Tom answered as I was typing!

As you can see things are as well as can be expected (as a doctor might say about a patient in intensive care after a car wreck).

Thanks, guys. I really like the Avsim forums and would hate to lose this one.

If I'm not checking forum updates then I'm only off flying somewhere... :Waiting:

+1 to keep this one alive...

LOL I wonder why.

LOL 2: Janitor. I did like you old sig too though, with the one nerve and the caffeine.

I just assumed that if you go into a forum, clap your hands and don't hear echoes, then you are relatively safe.

Flight still has a lot of activity, and I think its a great way to welcome new simmers.

I personally appreciate you granting MS Flight forum this reprieve. I only lurk among the experts in your other fine venues but I spend (too) many hours learning and laughing in this well moderated forum. Thank you for all you do, AVSIM.

Tom, for whatever it's worth, here is a quote from one of the MSGS devs:

Re: AVSIM: I wish Tom the best; he has a difficult job there and he does it with a great deal of grace.

I just skimmed through it a bit after reading your post, but its a good read! There is a lot to be had within Flight, and I really do hope the team expands on it beyond the recent warbirds. I really cant see them going anywhere but UP with Alaska.

There are a couple of folks that would probably disagree with him after the last couple of weeks.. But, I rest easy in knowing that they are some other forum moderator's headache now. Or, better yet... They have taken up Battlefield 3 and they are exorcising their demons.. :LMAO:

Disagree with her.
