May 23, 201214 yr Outerra keeps getting more and more comprehensive. What is stopping a version of it becoming the basis of a new advanced flight simulation?
May 23, 201214 yr Ok, so I'm a bit confused as to Outerra...Is it just landscapes that don't represent any specific area, or is it actual scenery from a specific area?

May 23, 201214 yr Author Outerra keeps getting more and more comprehensive. What is stopping a version of it becoming the basis of a new advanced flight simulation? My impression is that the flightsim niche is an extremely conservative one, and not willing to launch wholeheartedly into a new technology until its pretty much well on its way on its own. May 24, 201214 yr I Outerra! I also hope it will become the completely new engine of flight simulation in a few years.
May 25, 201214 yr Moderator I Outerra! I also hope it will become the completely new engine of flight simulation in a few years. I hope so too. I was watching the video of the AH-64 and was really amazed at how it looked. I can only imagine once they get into doing the weather generation it will probably look awesome.
