June 1, 201214 yr Mr. Marshall, please post your opinion, both generally and flight model if you should decide to investigate the F4U. I'll read such evaluation with rapt attention and consider getting a copy for myself. I admire your reviews and I am encouraged to purchase the F4U by Ramón.
June 3, 201214 yr As a rank amateur flyer I gotta tell you old timers or FSX only guys I love the game and it got me to go out and purchase FSX with Acceleration addon. I don't mind the no cockpits. I appreciate the airplanes and how they look. I would be fine with a cockpit as well but it wasn't the be all end all for me. I love flying in game next to someone and looking over and seeing it in formation next to me. I love chasing one through the skies (and NEVER catching it, it seems) I love seeing 3 or 8 lined up on a runway waiting to take off. So I think we all fly for different reasons. I do it cus I have fun and share some good times with friends and fellow flyers. And I love the fact I can put my 7 year old daughter in my lap or chair and she is amazed at flying and what she sees and that makes me smile the most. Oh and I asked her if she thinks there should be a cockpit and she said and I quote "does it make them do prettier cartwheels when they crash?" I laughed and figured i needed to stop asking her dumb questions... obviously
June 3, 201214 yr Well I downloaded the preview ( mainly so I could see it in the sim rather than a UFO) and when I saw it I just thought - what a terrible waste! I think they have done a great job making it, it looks fabulous. But of course we all know what I`m going to say next - so I won`t even say it anymore.
June 3, 201214 yr I am very curious how you know about any poor sales! Enlighten us! Err, I have no numbers sorry, just my 2 cent estimations with the rooms I fly in (and I change quite often, being lucky to speak some foreign languages). Almost everybody has at least one cockpiitless warbird, and even sometimes they have two. We are not that many Flight players here but it would be interresting to know who bought what in a poll. 2nd "tool for my estimations is Steam (Valve) ratings and Live rating (sells all time, sells per week) that everybody can look at there : (French probably cause i am) http://marketplace.x...tBy=BestSelling Of course it's not very clear what are the selling numbers of toycrafts without cockpit, but it is clear that the RV-6 & Maule are more common ingame amoung players ! But you all know there is stuff to do with these planes ingame :) It is also clear too me that IF the warbirds had some activities ingame, there would have had more ingame !

I laughed and figured i needed to stop asking her dumb questions... obviously I am thrilled it works for you and you are having fun. I have done all that you are enjoying with past flightsims and enjoyed those aspects as well, but always looking out from inside a cockpit. MS Combat Flight simulator 2 was my first sim and all the flyable aicraft had good VCs. For me, when I use a flightsim, I want to get as close of an experience that i have when i fly for real and looking out at the world and seeing the framework of the inside of the aircraft is part of that, so it seems very unnatural when that part is missing. Obviously, we are looking for different experiences from the same product, which is fine as i do enjoy Flight for it has to offer for me at the moment.. Bad Jeroen! Agreed, LOL. be strong Roboray, don't give in to the dark side, LOL. Best, Michael KDFW
June 3, 201214 yr OK, I designed a quick cockpit for those who JUST have to have one. print it and cut it out, tape it to the top of your monitor and when you press F7 and you get the cockpit view flop this over the screen and viola, instant cockpit
